Good morning everyone. It looks like it is going to be another beautiful day in the Ozarks. The weekenders will go home again today and we will have another week of peace and quite. We got our Morel mushroom bed all done yesterday now we will see if it works and we have morel mushrooms next year right in our own yard. Started power washing the guest house yesterday getting ready to paint it . Our youngest daughter and her hubby are coming down next week end and are going to paint it all for us. Told them we would pay them if they would do it. We neither one like to paint. I really hate to paint and I gets my bad shoulder out of whack in just a short time. We were going to hire the boy up the road to do it but they need the money really badly so I told her they could. Also got a new iris bed worked up and ready to go for new iris now. Need to work up a couple of more beds to get ready for other things for this fall to transplant them . But we have a couple of months to do all of that. Colette: so sorry about your friend. I know you will miss her. She is happy and content now and had a great life it sounds like. Hopefully you can continue to be close to her family. Thanks for the continued offer of the use of a bedroom. I really may have to use it. I don't want to put you out any by doing so. Sky: yeah some people are very rude in the sales places everywhere I have found. I don't know what ever happened to (the customer is always right) Brenda: the area Arcadia is a remembered name but I cant place where it is....but I do know I think where cobalt village is. Since we have moved down here we havent found a church home we really like so we don't go now but we use to go every Sunday . We are Baptist too or I say I am Bapticostal. Lol I was raised Penticostal but because Baptist when I was grown but still have all my penticostal roots. LOL Hubby and I have Bible study and prayer almost every morning on the back porch with our coffee. With the birds , insects and our dog ,Rebel. Love and joy and peace abounds Jan

Good morning, Up and getting ready for church, thought Id write a short note. Had a wonderful day with granddaughter on her birthday yesterday. Took her shopping for some things for her apartment as she is going to school in Oklahoma and will be studying music for the ministry. Going to church this morning, and then to visitation for my neighbor this evening, and funeral tomorrow. One of her children, have just recently moved down to the lake so we dont see them very often. Jan try the towns Marshall, Sweet Springs for motels. They are much closer than us, but if need be, my invite is open. Have a great day. Colette

Hello Missouri WLS Friends! Happy Sunday. I am setting in the bedroom deamed "office" > My desk sits level with a double window....right outside my window I had my goddess holding the "bowl" bird bath....(((getting the visual yet??))) I love to watch all the birds come in and get a quick drink, and sing to me. Just a moment ago, was the most beautiful male cardinal...he sings QUITE LOUD.... It always scares my two mini-poodle little boyz...they eventually bark and scare our feathered friend away.... Am I the "baby" of the group? (37) I want to be the baby :D LOL My hands hurt so bad today, they are like fat sausages :( I don't know how they are even typing this. Like I am sure each of you guys did, I have been reading everything I can get my hands on about this WLS, and I even went to the Memorial page and read each persons information. Tell me if you think this would freak you out. My name is "Sherr" (((pronounced Cher))) Harden, I just moved back from Georgia. There is a poor girl on the Memorial page, "Sherry Hardin, from GA" that didn't make it.... I think that may sound more supersticious than anything...but it is scary to see "your Name" on there let me tell you! I wish there were people close to me, I live the most south of Missouri I guess anyone can. There was a nice lady from the St. Louis hopital (((that does NOT take medicaid))) emailed me yesterday, she told me they DO take it in Columbia now, but when I went to their website, they are "waiting" for the COE designation. I stayed up til the wee hours trying to find out how we know who is COE and who is not... I wish there was a "PRIMER for WLS" for us. Just something that tells you what you need to do...(((in what order))) what the doctor does, what appointments to expect to make and attend...what follow up doctor's appt. to go to... Nothing out there like that I guess right??? COme on you guys were here in our footsteps once too...the thought of being nearly pain free or even "bearable pain level" really intoxicates us newbies.... :) Happy Day! Sherr

Jan, We did it!! We watched Allison this weekend, and it went pretty well. I picked her up at daycare on Friday about 5:30, and she was with us until 3:00 this afternoon when hermom and dad got back from the wedding in St. Louis. We had a lot of fun, but I am tired. She is on the go all the time. Before my surgery, I could not have done this. Yesterday we took her to the library for her first visit. My husband and I are both librarian's, so we thought this was must. Then we went to the farmer's markert. This morning she went grocery shopping with me. Whew!! I have my feet up, and I am enjoying it. I need to water and deadhead my flower beds, but it's hard to be motivated. Tomorrow morning is going to come way too soon. What do you do to prepare a flower bed to plant iris. I have a bunch that need to be thinned out, and I have never done this before. They are such beautiful flowers, but I didn't get very many blooms this year. Something needs to be done. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Linda

Good Evening, Hey Jan, Arcadia is close to Ironton. I had the same problem you are having with getting a hotel romm for my pre-op day and then my surgery time, and I have been trying to get rooms since May 24th. I got a room in Sedalia for my surgery time I understand its pretty close to the hospital, but I think they have raised their price because of the state fair. For my pre-op date we finally found a room in Swee****er which is about 30 miles from Sedalia. I think we should tell Doc's office people not to book any out-of-towners for surgery during the week of State Fair. Jan I do pray that you can find a church, Jesus said not to forsake the assembly of ourselves. I believe when we have a church family we get support we can't get elsewhere. We are fed spiritually when we are in worship services. Brenda
