Good morning everyone. We went to Springfield yesterday and got 2 large containers of ON Protein powder. I bought Rocky Road and Cookies and Cream. Hope I like the C&C one. My husband said you think you have enough of that stuff now. LOL I told him honey you don't understand this is a lot of what I will have to do to get a lot of my protein. I think he thought it was just something to have to drink. Like sodas or something. Was wondering if anyone has found a good protein bar that is high in protein and low in sugars or sugar alcohols. The lowest one I found was 11 grams of sugar alcohol. That is sort of high. Do you post ops not eat them or, are they for emergency only. One other problem I am really having is finding a place to stay the night before my surgery in Sedalia. It is the state fair there that week and there is nothing to rent. Also are the rooms large enough for Joe to be able to stay with me in the hospital? Or should we keep the motel room for him at night for the two nights I am in hospital. That is if we can even get a room, which so far we haven't been able to. Any one in Sedalia has any ideas? We live too far out of town to get up that morning and drive to Sedalia. Linda we are all praying for your brother. They can do wonders now days with blockages to the heart. Your weekend sounds wonderful, the fishing and all. Were you able to get your lic? Sky: I certainly have fun with my yard. It is a constant changing thing. And I am constantly changing it too. Always adding and moving. I am in the process of planning out where to move some hibiscus this fall now. I have 3 very large bushes that will need to move. The hardy ones can get really huge and I didn't think about that when they were put in. Wish you could come down and visit. But just keep watching my picture page will constantly add new ones there. Melissa: I bought 2 of the s.f. Davanci syrups at wal mart. I got raspberry, and vanilla. That is all they had in S.F. They really have a good taste to them don't they. Sherr Hardin: Welcome to our board. Hope you have some luck with finding a surgeon that will take your insurance. If you have to wait until your Medicare insurance kicks in right now the only place that you could have it done in Missouri is in Sedalia with Dr. Hornbostel. Hopefully there will be some other places soon that will be able to take it. The only magic list for Medicare is on their web site. The only way we found all of this is thru months of hard work of looking and searching and crying and being turned down until we all found Dr. H. in Sedalia. He was a God send to all of us. Now we are able to pass a lot of this info onto newbies so their life can be a little easier. Brenda: Love all of your jokes. Some of them are so silly. I never have slept well, even when I was a kid. I don't know if I am afraid I will miss something or not. Hey when you get ready to retire and buy a house come this way and buy over here next to us. Lol I don't think I would want to live if I wasn't able to have a flower garden. Or at least a few flower beds. Wont they let you put in anything there where you are? Does your husband pastor a church too? I thought you said that but maybe I just thought you did. Well we went to Bass Pro yesterday and they only carry Mercury motors and hubby really wanted to see at least 2 different brands to see the comparisions of not only price but of features too. So I have the job of finding the info online and maybe he will make up his mind by this time next week. Everyone have a great weekend and will say Hi again tomorrow morning. Jan

Good morning Jan and everyone else. I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Things here are about the same. Jan we went to Bass Pro down in Springfield when we got our boat and they treated my DH and myself like we were poor white trash. Needless to say we did not get out boat there. I mean here I was with the cash in my pocket and they didn't even have the time to answer any of our questions. So we went to Osage Beach and got our boat there. They were really nice and couldn't have been more helpful if they would have tried. Our boat isn't big or fancy or anything like that, it's just a jon boat with a 25hp motor. Yamaha motor 4 stroke. It's a very nice motor, we have had it for about 3 years now and haven't had any problems with it at all. We haven't been back to bass pro since then. But I did tell the guy before we left that he just lost a sale and I pulled out the cash and showed him and told him I wouldn't buy a boat from him no matter what. He had a really stupid look on his face. Well anyway hope everyone is doing good. Take care and have a wonderful weekend everyone. May The Lord bless and keep you May His face shine upon you And be gracious and give you peace Sky

Hello Jan, I am glad my jokes can bring a smile to your face. Some of them are pretty funny. I do the weekly bulletin at church and there is a section I have intitled "Laughter Is Good For The Soul" and I always try to put a good rib tickler there. I don't know if we would move way out where your from, although I really think it is beautiful out around Sedalia, Springfield and I'm sure it is where you live. We have been considering buying somewhere in the Arcadia Valley area it is very nice there too. Do you know where that is? I'm sure you do since you said (I think) you were from Fredericktown? The Boy Scouts will let me plant anything I want, which I have over the years we have lived here, but you know since I lost my son in 1996, my dad in 1998 & my mom in 1993, then I became disabled in 2000, I just haven't felt the need to do it anymore. I have gotten over alot of my depression but I don't think I could get out there and work like I used to. I loved it, I would mow, weedeat, clear brush, make flower beds or anything else I thought I was able to do. But anymore my body hurts to bad to try it, I do well to get any house work done. My husband is a preacher of the Gospel, we pastor a General Baptist church in Cobalt Village it's right at the edge of Fredericktown we have been there for 4 years, he has pastored a couple other churches also. I am sorry about rambling on but sometimes it feels good to just do it. I might not get back on here til monday, with church tomorrow. Do you are any one else on the board attend church? I f you do where do you go? Not trying to pry just curious. Talk to you all later Love Brenda

good morning everyone, My heart is heavy this morning, as my dear friend and neighbor across the lane passed away and the funeral is Monday. She is 92 and has lived a nice long life, and independently at home on a farm, and I know she is rejoicing with Jesus today. But it is a great loss to me. I will be ok but I will miss her dearly as I looked out for her and checked on her each day. Jan and Brenda, - told you if you can not find rooms, come on to my house. We are 45 minutes from Sedalia. I dont have anything fancy but I have a bed . The rooms at the hospital are small and I cannot imagine anyone sleeping in that straight chair in the corner. Dont know of any plans definite in Aug. Forgot when Brenda surgery is!!! Have a great day. Colette
