I will post pictures of the puppies as soon as my wife figures out how to use the digital camera. She bought a digital camera but I dont know how to use it very well. Most of the puppies have their eyes open now and the mama dogs have them fat. I am sure going through a lot of dog food but it is easier to feed the mama dogs a lot than to bottle feed the puppies. We have done that before and it sure is a lot of work. I went Tuesday for a check up with my gastric bypass surgeon. I had lost 14 pounds of my regain. I weighed 211 which is not too bad for a 55 year old man. I am working on getting down to 199 again and I will get there it will take time though. It was kind of sad but my doc said a lot of his long term patients have regained a lot of their weight. When they lose their weight they go back to the old bad habits that got they fat in the first place. Even as a post op we always have to watch ourselves and not go back to our old bad habits. Protien first and not too many carbs is what works for life. I feel bad that so many have regained. I regained about 30 but I have lost 20 pounds of that regain since the first of the year, so even if you do regain you can still lose it. You newbies and pre ops just concentrate on getting it right and making new healthy habits. You will have lots of changes for the better just make them permanent new habits and dont ever go back to your old ways. The surgery is not magic and you will always have to work on staying thinner. We will always have to watch what we put in our mouths so it does not show on our hips, bellys, and butts.

amen David. I am working on getting my mind straight before surgery. Doing a lot of mental work with counseling and without. So Hopefully the changes i make for surgery will be life long. But I know that it will be always there. Just like a drug addict or a person addicted to alcohol. We have to go day by day by day and ask God to lead us. Jan

I am so glad to read your post. I, unfortuantely, am one of the postops that have gained some weight back. I am working hard at getting it back off. At first it was just 5, then 10 and now it's 25. I've got to stop. So I am focusing on the protein and exercise. I don't dumb so carbs and sugar are too inviting! I am really hating myself right now and I've got to get it back off! Good luck to you!
