T.G.I.F. WHATS HAPPENING.
Hi Jan and everyone, well I have been going through so many emotions lately but I also seem to have gotten a burst of energy from somewhere and in the last couple of days I've had the ironing bug so I have pretty much ironed everything I get my hands on. I'm counting the days too but not as good at as you are, to everyone "HELLO" August is geting closer, have a great day! Barb T in KC.
Hello Everybody!
Seems weird to post when it's still daylight outside, I'm like Jan and some of you others, I don't sleep well so I sleep when I can get it no matter what time it is. When I was young, you almost had to set a bomb off in my bed to get me up (oh to sleep like that again) but after my son died and I became disabled with so much pain, those nights of sound sleep are over.
Sherr: I know what you mean by far because I live about 40 miles north of Poplar Bluff and I'm seeing Dr. Hornbostal at Sedalia, it's about a 6 hour drive for us because we have to stop and let me stretch and walk around a little bit so I don't get stoved up. I guess you already know that Medicare will only pay for the WLS if the facility is a "Center of Excellence" which Dr. Hornbostal and Bothwell Hospital are now, and as for as I know they are the only one in MO. That is why I didn't go to St. Louis, maybe by the time you get your Medicare there will be a place in St. Louis that has became a COE. Driving that far is a small sacrifice for me to get the big pay off of weight loss.
Linda: I will be praying for your brother that everything will go well. I know what you mean about the license office people. My husband has to get his renewed this year and they sent all that info with his renewal card. I guess we shouldn't gripe but it seems like all that ever happens to get illegal people out of U.S. is something that causes us grief but the illegal's just keep right on doing what their doing.
Melissa: How is your husband's leg and your nephew's tooth? I hope you didn't have to take him home. We did get some good rain yesterday, the good soaking in kind. I would sure like to have a pool. My DH has talked about getting an above ground. Is yours above ground? How much weight have you lost so for? What is SF Da Vanchii
syrup? Have a good swim.
Barbara: Hey you better slow down. I need some things ironed if your ever in the area LOL. I'm an August surgery too. 55 days and counting. Take it easy tomorrow, relax.
Jan: I sure will be glad when my husband can retire from his secular job and we get to buy a house! We have never owned a house and we have been married 35 years.
We have lived where his job is since 1983 and our house is furnished as part of the job. He is Camp Ranger/Caretaker on a boy scout camp. Before that we rented. I love flowers and gardens and would like to plant like what you talk about. He retires in 6 years and by then there should be a whole lot less of me so maybe I can work out in the yard again. I have always done most of the yard work and lawn mowing until I became disabled and so huge. It would be grand!
Talk at you all tomorrow, Brenda
Brenda:
No, I didn't know about the "Center for Excellence" thing :O Where do you smart guys and gals find all this info?
I am considering using my Spend Down Missouri insurance, but the months I incur expenses, I pay up to $700 before I get any relief, and now that I am perm. disabled, I don't receive very much more than that for Social Security, so I have GOT to get my ducks in a row....and plan smartly.
I was told that "Missouri Bariactrics" in Columbia took medicaid, is that untrue? Where DO we find this "magic list"?
Thank you guys....
I have been in horrific pain since 1999, and I can tell you that whole story, waaay to long....but, the bigger I get the more I hurt etc....and I just can't hardly bear the pain any longer.
Thanks to ALL!
Sherr
