Good Morning all. I have a beauty shop appointment for cut and color today and hubby has a hair cut appointment. So maybe we will look more presentable soon. I hope. We may go on into Springfield afterwards and go to Food 4 less and get the protein, and have supper at ZIO's It is one of our favorite places. Anyone else eaten there? Yummy. We love their artichoke and spinach dip. Then we will go to Bass Pro and to Wal mart if we have enough energy left. I doubt if DH can walk that much. I think I am in bad shape until I try to get him to keep up with me to do several things in one day like that. Linda S: Im so sorry about your mom but you do have some wonderful memories to hold on to about her and you. And you do know that she would be with you if she could and be your biggest supporter in your weight loss journey. Thanks for the web site for the protein powder. We are going to Springfield hopefully tomorrow after Beauty Shop. Melissa: wow I love the rocky road protein powder it was absolutely wonderful. I for sure am getting one of those. I don't know what else I will get maybe 2 others so I don't have to go back so often. I guess I could always go to Food 4 Less after the meetings. But will not be going to meeting in August since that is the day I will be having surgery. Wow. David: don't overdo it, even if you do feel like superman you know you have limits. Lol. Hey that is neat about the shows. Do you get discount tickets or what? Those puppies will be crawling everywhere soon. Do you housebreak them for their new homes too ? That could be a mess with 11 puppies all over the house. Lol Good luck on seeing your surgeon today. Let us know what he says. Yummy yes I love fresh tomatoes too. I am growing some Heirloom tomatoes this year. One is yellow with a pink center, a green one and a purple one too. Cant wait to taste them. Coletta: What sort of calcium pills do you get? I am trying to get all of everything I will need after surgery stocked up . Do I need to start taking multi vit now or is it necessary. Enjoy your day off. I know when I was working I use to try to do too many things in the two days off and go back to work more tired than after a week of work. Brenda: Hey good to see you on. Sorry you have been having so much pain. Hope that gets under control soon. Oh I love the church dinners so much. Talk about buffets. You cant imagine some of the food that is on church dinners tables can you. I don't think anyone knows how to (fellowship) like Baptist. Lol Yeah I was having the same problem here while back with the Microsoft deal and I always sent a report and all of a sudden it quit doing that. Wonder what it was? Was it each person or was it with Microsoft or with OH?

I've been stocking up, too. I have my vitamins, my protein (several different kinds and types), my stuff to take to the hospital, and have my medical alert bracelet to wear after the surgery. I ordered the one off of the OH website. It says that I am a bariatric surgery patient and NO NG TUBE. I also have my clear liquids for after surgery. I think I'm all set unless anyone can come up with something I've forgotten! If so, please let me know. My husband thinks I'm getting ahead of myself. He thinks I'm funny doing this now. I guess I'm just excited--50 days to surgery! YEAH! Have a great day... Linda

Hey Linda I was just thinking that August is really getting close, I've been having a bout with a little depression lately but I know it's just apprehension and I'm really excited because before we all know it we'll be much healthier and happier, I am in the process of trying to get everything together too. God bless and have a great day!! Barb T in KC.

dear Jan, I am still laughing at Melissa joke. LOL. About the vitamins, Dr. H. recommends 2 childrens chewable and 2 chewalble calcium each day. He also sells Optisource in his office and you can get it at Walgreens. 25.00 a bottle and if you take 4 a day it has all calcium and vitamins and B12 in it. They sorta taste like sweet tarts. I you buy the childrens chewable(5.95) and the Caltrate 600 plus chewable calcium the total comes to about 12-13.00 for both for a month. (compared to 25.00) I did not care for the taste of the childrens so I get the optisource. I tried the Centrum chewable vitamins -they are so so. I would not take them before surgery, and after surgery I took kids chewable and caltrate 600 plus, I also take Biotin(2 a dat) and it can be gotten at WalMart for 1.33 a bottle. It is supposed to help with your hair, and I also take B-12(sublingual) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also Dena told me to take B1 to help with energy. Now I dont mind it now as I swallow it, but crushed up at first it is nasty. No way to mix it with anything - u still smell it. Just ask if you have any more questions. Colette

Hello to everyone Well I have been having a kind of tough time the last few days. I have been suffering with heartburn. I have had it some since surgery but it has been getting worse as time goes by. The last four days I have been bothered with it really bad. I have thrown up at least once a day for the last four days. Well yesterday I threw up twice. The one time it was jus****er and stomach acid. Well I called the Dr.s office today and they said for me to go back on my prescription previcid. Well I took one today and I am feeling a lot better now. Sound like you all are doing well. I am still kind of tired and weak for all the throwing. So I think I am going to go lay back down for awhile. I hope you all have a wonderful day. May The Lord bless and keep you May His face shine upon you And be gracious and give you peace Sky

Hello Everyone! I didn't quiet make it to post before midnight. Oh Well. I was just reading all the post's and I am wondering how you all know what you will be allowed to eat or what vitamins to get. I never thought about stockpiling stuff ahead. Jan I will miss our fellowship dinners at church. I've always said that church ladies are the best cooks, they can take anything and make it taste good. Here's a joke for you. At school one day the teacher asked each child to bring a symbol of their religion to show and tell. The next day little Mark stood up and said "I'm catholic and this is a crucifix". Next was Josiah he stood and said "I'm jewish and this is the star of David". Next was little Johnny who stood and said "I'm Baptist and this is a crock pot".
