Hello everyone.
Just wanted to jump in here and say hi. My name is Sheila and I live in Auxvasse, Mo. I went to a seminar on May 8th in Columbia and I turned in my packet 2 weeks ago and also a letter of referral from my PCP. I am just waiting now for a call from the Missouri Bariactric Clinic for my first appt. I am not looking forward to all the hoops they make you jump through but I am looking forward to losing weight.

Welcome. And congrats on the first steps to your WLS. Honestly they dont make you jump thro to many hoops. They just want to make sure your totally prepared for what is in store for you. I had Dr. Scott in Columbia, MO and just love him to pieces. And the Hospital was beyond nice!! You can do it just think everytime they ask for something. That this is going to better yourself.

Welcome to the Missouri board. The folks here are so wonderful. It really is like a big family. If you have any questions or need any help, just let us know. This is a real praying board and we support each other totally.

I, personally, am about six months away from surgery due to my insurance having a required six month physician monitored diet and exercise program. I've got one month down and five more to go. But the people on this board have made me feel so welcome and I got to meet several at the June meeting at St. John's in Springfield.

Welcome Sheila I am scheduled for my surgery on August 17 I haven't had to wait as long as some. I started the process in April this year and already have a surgery date.
I know God has answered prayer for me, for it all to go so smooth. Hang in there and I know with God you will make it through any hoops they throw at you.
