well it isnt morning now. i couldnt get on the web site this morning. so here is what i typed anyway lol Good Morning Everyone!!!! We had over an inch of rain yesterday and is trying to rain again this morning. Hope we get about that much more today. I wont have to worry abou****ering this next week if we get that much. I took some more pictures and added them to my web site. If you haven't looked at all my flowers yet check out my web site that is listed under my picture here next to the button that say profile-email-reply and stuff. Sort of proud of them. Well went to Branson yesterday to go to Bass Pro and couldn't find a parking space there. I said this place is brand new and no one had the vision to put enough space there. I cant believe how short sighted they were. We will try to go one day next week , maybe it wont be quite so crowded. It looks like a big city down in that area, not like the rest of Branson at all. Does anyone remember Branson say about 30 years ago? Quite a difference. LOL. We did go to Lowes and bought new faucets for the kitchen and bath room sinks in the guest cottage. Also checked out prices on different pieces of lumber . I don't know if anyone does any building or not but you would be surprised at the price of lumber if you havent done any in a while. I guess all the natural disasters from the last few years are having a toll on the price of lumber. Melissa: I got the protein powder and am trying the Strawberry one now. Very good. Now if you can tell me the name of it again I will write it down and the next time I am in Springfield I will get me some. What all flavors does it come in? Strawberry and Choc . I know is there any others? How did your garage sale go? Hope you did well on it and got rid of all the stuff you were wanting to get out of your house. Is always good to clean out stuff once in a while and make a new start. That was a good luck that Terry found you the water weights for you to exercise with in your pool. So how loose are your clothes getting on you now? Sky: Why are you hurting so badly? Did you do something you weren't suppose to or is it old stuff that still lingers. That is nice that you are getting a new living room set. Sorry about your Dad. I know how bad it hurts to lose parents. I lost my Dad in 93 and my Mom in 02 and I still miss them both so much. I guess no matter how old you are you still need and want your parents. You feel sort of at loose ends after both of them are gone. No one to call and talk to for advice or something. Brenda: You wake up yet? Or are you still in the recliner with the puppies. I use to drink Diet Dr. Pepper like that all the time but I took my self off of it and sugar at the same time. I figured that I would have to quit them before surgery anyway so I need to do it early enough that I will get it out of my system before surgery. I don't want to do them any more and you know now that I am drinking ice water all the time I crave that instead. Isnt that wild? At last I crave something that is good for you. LOL. Colette: lol no Davids dog didn't have 11 puppies that was 3 dogs that had 11 puppies. They were all pregnate at once and all delivered within a day of each other I think. Can you imagine that. Whew sounds like you were busy at work yesterday with all those shots and all the paper work that goes along with it. Yeah I know about nursing home paper work . It is stupid. You spend more time doing paper work than in doing the actual work. I think that is one reason that nurses get so burnt out, They go into nursing to give care to people because they like doing that and then find out that they spend most of their time doing paper work. It is a real let down. I mean if they wanted to be sec. They would have become that instead . Well enough of my soapbox. I loved nursing when I got to do nursing. But hated the paperwork that went along with it. Well where is everyone else. Don't know seems like the guys never post on here that much anymore. And a lot of others are missing too. Come on everyone we would like to hear from you all and find out what you are doing. Benny, Craig, David, Wayne, Plus all the new people and regulars I cant remember everyones names but come on in the waters fine. Lol. HAPPY FATHERS DAY : to all the Fathers out there. Hope you have a great day today. See you all tomorrow. 55 days left and counting till surgery. Jan

Jan Did really great on the yard sale. Got rid of 90% of my stuff that I had for sale. What I didnt sale I posted on freecycle.com and someone cam eand pick it up last night. Which is pretty kewl I didnt have to mess with it. The protein power is called ON 100% Whey Gold Standard. When I went to Food 4 Less in Springfield they had about 6 different flavors: Double Chocolate, Strawberry, Chocolate Mint, Rocky Road, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookies n Cream, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge or Mocha something like that. I am going to get another jug since I made a little money with the sale that way I can switch back and forth from one to the other. I wanna try the Vanilla Ice Cream. Took DH & nephew tot he movies today. We saw Fast and the Furious Tokio Drift. Man talk about so sweet cars. WOW!!! I told DH I wanted the sound track from the movie. We are fixing on going over to his dads house to drop off our cards and gift. And I got him a bowl of beans w/cornbread (his favorite). Visit with him for awhile then come home. It is warm here today so I might just jump in the pool when I get home. I may just kick back and watch a movie it has been a busy week for me and I am totally bushed!!! lol I hope you had a good weekend. I will talk to you soon. Love ya Melissa

Jan My pain is from an old injury. It is from a car accident I had years ago. When the weather gets bad it makes me hurt a lot worse. My pcp said I make a really good barometer. I tried to tell him I didn't want to be a barometer. Oh well guess that's the way it works. I am feeling better today. Other than that I am doing fine. I tried to get on here after my morning walk but I guess the web site was down. But I'm glad to see it is back up and working all right. You know they say not to weigh yourself but once a week. That's a lot easier said than done after wls. I have been a bad girl and got on the scales again today and I am down 47 lbs now. That is including the one-week pre-op. And Melissa you could let us all in on this good tasting protein drink. I have tried a lot of different kinds and I just don't seem to care for any of them. Well Happy Fathers Day to everyone. Take care and have a great day. Sky

Sky Read the reply I sent to Jan. It is the best so far that I have tasted and cheap. I got a jug that will last me 1 1/2 months had 80 servings in it. I drink 8oz in the A.M. and 8oz in the P.M. and get 64 grams of protein and that is just the drink. That not including what you eat. Very good stuff!!!!! Melissa

Hi, Jan, and the rest of you guys! I'm back from my trip to Wallace State Park. It was a great trip. Saw a lot of old steam engines and some really cool old cars. They had a car show today at Lathrop and you wouldn't believe the cars that were there--57 Chevy (just like I drove to get my first driver's license!); 66 Mustangs; Model A's; Model T's; first Thunderbirds; and any other old car you could think of. It was very impressive. My brother and sister-in-law used an old 'putt-putt' steam engine to grind corn and make cornmeal that they bagged up and sold to people. They also made hush puppies out of the cornmeal and gave free samples away. They were wonderful. I ate a few because I knew it would be a long while before I would be able to taste them again. Got to see my Mom (she has Alzheimer's) and my Dad today. I'm so very lucky to still have both my parents at my age--57. By the way, what is this protein you all keep talking about? Let us in on the secret. I really like Rocky Road ice cream. Is Springfield the only place you can get it? And is it at all the Food-4-Less stores or just a certain one? My husband's sister lives in Springfield and I'll send her after some for me if you all will share the name and which store has it. I was amazed today, I think I've lost some inches in my hips since I joined Curves. The motorhome has chairs in the front that you can swing the arms down to rest on. I've never been able to bring down both arms and use them at the same time until today! I couldn't believe that they both just swung down and there was no problem at all! Better go and put clothes in the washer from the trip. Only 52 more days to surgery! Linda (The angel is for my daughter who died of cancer in 1996 at age 16. She was always my "angel".)
