Thursday Whats Happening:::::::::::

Thursday once again. Wow. This week has really gone by fast. Haven't been feeling too well so I have done very little this week. I feel very very tired and sleepy. I am sleeping twice as much as I normally do, and yet feel like I haven't gotten any rest at all. Melissa : don't work too hard getting that garage sale going. I wish I lived closer to you I would come and look thru your stuff. LOL.I bet if you moves all of that stuff outside by yourself you are even more sore today than yesterday. Hope you have good luck on the garage sale. Colette: Oh wow you sound like you had a wonderful and exciting week end and also a very memorial one. I know it was wonderful to see all the kids and relatives. And I bet a lot of them were really surprised to see how well you looked too weren't they? Again from me and everyone on here. Congratulations on 50 years of marriage. Brenda: Thanks for the jokes . Loved the pirate one. Yes that is the really bad thing about fibro. When you feel good we always over do but if we didn't we would never get anything done. I have met people that because they have fibro , even on the days when they don't hurt and feel good still don't do anything because they know they will be sore and hurting from it. Not me I always do everything to the hilt when I feel good so I have a little of life anyway. David: good luck with the puppies. Good grief that is a lot of puppies!!! Be careful and don't fall over one of them. Linda S: glad you all had a good time at the meeting. I'm sure the exercise ball knowledge will do you a world of good. I like using mine. It gives you core strength. Sky: glad you are feeling so well. How is the weight loss coming? Miss you when you don't post on my what's happening sometimes . Keep up the good work. To all of you that are still tying to find a doctor and get approval. We are praying for you that it will happen soon and that you will be waiting till surgery with some of us. I didn't think it would ever happen for me but it has and now I am waiting for the surgery to come around. As of this morning I now have 59 days until surgery.whoooo Hooooo. You all have a great day. Good morning, Jan. I went to my first supervised exercise program at New Images at St. John's in Springfield. I was prepared to absolutely hate it but I didn't. In fact, it was kinda fun. I am to start out slowly and work up my times and intensity on the machines. I did a StepWay for 10 minutes, walked the track for 10 minutes and did 10 minutes of warm up and cool down. I didn't try the treadmill. They kinda scare me. But, I'll get there eventually. Had to go get some jogging shoes before I went. She stressed getting jogging shoes and not walking shoes so I did what she said. I am the most compliant subject she'll ever have. I want nothing to stand in the way of getting the surgery I need. Jan Yep I am still doing great. I do seem to be pretty tired the last couple of days, but I think a lot of that is from over doing things. Today is 2 weeks post-op for me. According to my records and my cheap scales I have lost a total of 37lbs since one week pre-op. My jeans are starting to get a little baggy and both of my DD's said I need a belt. I did find out what happens when I eat more than I should. And I know it doesn't matter how good something taste when I am full I will stop from now on. LOL Well anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. It was already getting pretty warm at 6 am when I went for my walk. Take care and May God Bless each and every one of you. Sky

IT has really ben a hot one today! I was outside around 5 am I like to sit on my patio and just listen to everything.. The grass was still damp but a little after 6 it started getting realy warm... I knew today was gonna be a hottie! So I am back inside and staying in the ac. I got my son off the afternoon bus and thought I was gonna melt it was so hot out! I know the kids will bug me to go swimming today.. I just know they will.. Maybe I will take them after dinner.. Like around 7pm so its not too hot and they can still get some time in the pool. I dont know remember if I told you all.. But my cat Hermione had kittens on 6/6/06. They are doing great.. So cute. She had 5 of them. Two are black and one of the black ones has a thin white line running down the tummy. One is all white.. One is white with black patches and the other looks just like her momma.. grey black and tan like a tiger. well she looks like her momma till ur half way down her body.. then she's black and white patches too lol. Hi Jan, Well another day of work over but I come away with singing in my heart and joy because those elderly really smile when we come in the morning. All of them huddle around my office door and come in to see me. We talk about all kinds of things, mostly they wanted to know how the weekend went. My hubby and I spent last evening reading all the cards and looking at the memory book the children made us. Must say the eyes were wet for both of us. The children and grandchildren all wrote letters and even the little ones too. Also our daughter had contacted all the church people from the other churches so we had many fond memories to relive. Did not remember all of them. (things that they remembered about our family)LOL Then the present church which my husband served for 16 years gave us a gold box which was beautifully decoragted with 50 on it and gold ribbon. When we opened itthere was a big long golden ribbon with lots and lots and lots of money folded in accordian shape all the way down the ribbon. And everyone signed a most beautiful card. Wow!!! Also the kids made a memory picture album for us. I dont know if I told you they had a farm wagon for a stage and live entertainment for us that lasted an hour. It involved all our family and grandchildren. Each child either sang or wrote poems which they read. The 6 kids (our children) had a german band, and style show(a funny one) and so many remarks and funny things. God has really blessed us. ok enough about me, how is everyone. To everyone still waiting to hear about surgery dates, hang in there. Jesus listens and he will answer. To all the rest of you with your dates, I am praying the time will go fast. And to all of you new preops keep up the good work. Melissa, new picture soon. I know you are beautiful. Sky, You will need a new one too. Wow on that loss girl!!! And Wayne, where are you??? I already feel lost cause I have not been to one of your meetings but where are you??? and to David, Linda, Brenda and Craig and Jai, thanks for all the posts. And if I have forgotten anyone please forgive me. I am the old lady on here and have senile moments. LOL. I may be older but glad you accept me. Have a great day. Colette
