Good Morning everyone! I don't know what was wrong with me last night except just tired. We worked off and on most of the day yesterday, in the shade , then went swimming for about 30 minutes, came back worked some more, went swimming again. Took showers and went into town to have supper and get more hamburger meat so we would have plenty for cook out today when family comes out. Anyway I went to bed at 8:30! Me, the one that never goes to bed until midnight or later. But here I am now at 2am wide awake. Oh well about 5 I will get sleepy again and go back to bed for another 2 or3 hours of really good sleep. Not a lot planned today except church and then family out for cookout and swimming in the lake. Cheap entertainment .LOL. Sky: Oh ok now I understand what the Doc. Did when he went in and didn't finish surgery. So did he say that your liver felt like it was smaller now? Or did he exam you like that when you went in? I bet when he does the whole surgery you will need to not drink your diet Dew. I have already given up my Diet Dr. Pepper. The only way I was able to do it was to buy some with no caffeine and the ones with caffeine and mix them until I had more non than caff. .then I drank un caff. for a few days and then stopped and drank tea and lemonade in between drinking lots of water until I just now drink water only. I still want one now and then but know that I was so addicted to them that if I drink another one I will be hooked again. And when I was drinking those I didn't drink nearly enough water . David : Congratulations on the new additions to the family. Sounds like you are going to have your hands full for awhile. I'm sure you won't have any problems finding good homes for them. That is amazing that you went back to work already. I hope it helps you get back lots of energy and stamina and makes you feel 10 years younger. Melissa: Did you get the soreness worked out of your shoulder yesterday in the pool? Don't overdo it . The water is the best place for us overweight people to exercise, it does help us get full range of motion. Even my old knees don't hurt quite as bad in the water as they do on dry land. Hey be glad you have a hubby that likes to go garage saleing with you. As sweet as mine is about almost everything else he doesn't like to go to (garbage sales) as he calls them lol Benny : take care of the "cold" so you don't get too sick. Drink lots of water, eat lots of protein take your vits. Hmmm that sounds like advice after surgery doesn't it? So looking forward to meeting you all at the meeting. Brenda: Take it easy on the wheels girl. don't fall off the chair. I did that once I was rolling across the floor and reached down to one of the cabinets , bent too far over and whoop on the butt. The chair scooted out from under me and flew across the room. Lol my husband thought it was funny , so did I after I checked to see if I was hurt lol. I do get periods of being depressed because of the pain and weight but doesn't last long enough to speak of. That is one gift that God gave me is a happy spirit I guess. He didn't give me many gifts but that one is one I really am happy he gave to me. When I start getting upset and sad it is because I want to do something that I am unable to do .Bu****ch out world after surgery and I am able to move again. The lady up the street said yesterday , man I cant imagine what you will be doing in your yard when you have surgery and can move again well. That is what im holding on to more than anything. Oh wow Elephant Rock. I love that place. It is so nice there. Use to go there lots when we lived in Fredericktown as a kid. If no one has ever been there I would recommend it as a neat place to see in the State. Yeah Brenda I am thinking very seriously about getting a pool . We would be able to probably get into it a week or so after surgery and there is some good weather after August for pools too. And I am thinking that would be good exercise to do right after surgery because it wouldn't pull too much on new parts. Lol I know we couldn't get in right after surgery but as soon as the wounds heal we could. Have a wonderful day in our Lord . May he bring you peace, joy and love. May your pain and sorrows be few and able to bear. Know that you all are loved. Jan

Jan, I was so busy quite busy yesterday. My friend and I enjoyed Prairie Home Companion movie a lot. I wasn't sure what to expect. I guess the best way to describe it is that it is a ficitonalized account of one of the shows. We went out for coffee afterwards and talked about our families and work. It is our form of therapy. Thank goodness for decaf latte. It's my newest addiciton. My granddaughter arrived about 5:30. After that, it was all about her until she went to sleep after 9:00. She was awake and 3:30, and it was all about her again until we could get her back to sleep about 5:00. Her parents picked her up about 11:30, so the whole morning was mostly spend with her. I did managed to get laundry done and to pull a bunch of old clothes out of a closet we are repairing. Then I had to go to the grocery story and make dinner. I just had an 1 1/2 nap on the couch. I didn't realize how tired I was. I feel much better now. My husband and I are going to northern New Mexico. We love that state. The northern part is quite mountainous and beautiful. We don't have the itinerary planned yet, but the tickets are ordered, so we are going. We have been there many times, and if so many other things in life didn't hold us here; I think we would move there. Maybe some day that will happen. Hope you had fun with your family. Did I tell you we spent two days at Tan-Tar-A last week for a business conference? That's the first time I had been there, and it was pretty nice. Linda

Hello The Dr. did not check my liver. He just checked my incisions and talked to me about how I was doing and stuff like that. I don't think he is worried about my liver until it gets closer to time for the other surgery. I have been doing really good and have walked around our block at least once a day every day since I made it around the first time. I don't drink my dt. dew like I used to. Just have about a can a day and then I just sip at it while I drink other stuff too. I drink a lot of water. I guess maybe it's just getting the taste of the dt. dew I needed. Well hope you all have a wonderful day. Take care and God bless. Sky

Hey Jan, I haven't fell off the wheels yet, but I can see how that can happen! We went to Elephant Rock right after church, we ate dinner and then all the youth and kids wanted to go hit the trail and climb the rocks. Well I didn't think I could do to much walking but I used my cane and walked some of it with my DH and our deacon and his wife. Went real slow , did not try to climb on any rocks! I don't know why we brothered as soon as the kids got up to the big rocks we never saw them again until we got back to our picnic table! But they had a ton of fun and that's what it was about. Well that was my day. Talk to you all later. Brenda
