Doc oppt.

Well i went in today for my 2 1/2 week check up since starting my bp meds and she said its still not where she wants it but its better! she uped my dose and also gave me a medication for my triglycerides because they were very high (476). She also gave me my medical clearance for surgery because part of trying to fix my bp and my tri is loosing weight and no carbs so she said it would definatly help me. my tsh came back normal. I took it all to new start today and she said she would turn it into dr. richardson. So now i wait for the phone call to go see him and hopefully set a date soon. Jai

good for you Jai....after surgery you probably wont have to have the blood pressure meds anymore anyway. Most dont . But there are a few that still do . So dont go throwing them away. LOL Jan

Jamie.......Praise God such wonderful news Im so happy for you.....Yes we have all had our share of babysteps plus more....but more to come...I look at it this way..Rome was not built over night LOL..Its better to be safe and knowing about everything that is wrong before WLS...My Mom called me and told me to make sure all the tests are ok and I said YES MOTHER....heeheh Moms will always be the boss..........Craig Lee

Craig, Moms are the most wonderful thing in the world lol... (me saying this only after my mother and I regained our relationship just 7 years ago.) She actually has gone to a few meetings where she lives just to see what all I will be going through. She is very supportive. And to think if I had not pursued WLS then I would never have gone to the doctor and found out about my bp and triglycorides. So... I think everything happens for a reason.
