Whats Going Down Tuesday:::
Good Morning everyone, They said it is suppose to rain some today. I have another flower bed to get going this day. I am putting two large dinner plate Dhalias, (Purple) in next to the house and also several Balsam plants in there. Hope to get this done today and the Dhalias are outgrowing their containers. .
The neighbors next door ask me if it would bother us if they put in a chicken pen and chicken house. Told them no i really love to watch chickens and hear them especially love to hear the rooster crowing. He is really making a fancy chicken coop i must say.
I hope this thread works and for us as well as it does on other boards. I know on some of the other boards it is like a group that doesnt want anyone else in but hope ours wont become that . Want any and all to post to it.
Cathy Wilson: So good to finally hear something from you online, Everyone has been worried about you and love you.
Me Magee: congradulations on being able to buy a much smaller size...That was a good WOW moment wasnt it. And being able to walk and keep up with family on your outing was really amazing. That is my biggest goal is to be able to just keep up.
Brenda-I too am looking forward to being cold.LOL Hope you are feeling better. The bones really do hurt sometimes but I can imagine how much less they will hurt when 100 pounds is gone.
David Wilson: Is having a pacemaker put in this morning . We are all holding you up in prayer today David and let us know when you feel up to it how you are.
Craig Lee: So glad that you are going to go to the doctor about your eyes. The Eyes are very precious. Dont think anyone realizes how precious untill you start to have some problems with them.
Colette: We will all eat tomatoes when we come to visit you. We can have them fresh, grilled , sauteed, roasted, boiled and fried. I love tomatoes ,can you eat them after surgery? Wow 50 years of marriage ? with the same man?? Now that is really a WOW lifetime award. No really congradulations that is wonderful.
Sky E.: Hope you are feeling better daily. And already starting to drop the weight. Remember to sip sip sip and walk walk walk,
Lori H. I hope the pain when eating and drinking is getting less and less. If not you might need to call you surgeon about it. Dont wait too long you could have some sort of problem. Best to not second guess about it.
Melissa: Hope it was nothing serious that DH had to go to the doctor about. Sure is nice to have someone to help you do things to a car and not have to pay a mechanic for everything isnt it. How is your eating and drinking going. Have you gotten your energy up ? So are you ready to put the pool up today? My bathing suit is waiting .
Wayne : havent seen you on here since you stated you had almost lost 100 pounds. Which is great but you need to say hi to us once in awhile. How is the gymn workouts going?
Lovely Lana: The Springfield meeting is on June 12th at 5:30pm till 7pm. Will be anxious to meet you too as well as all the other folks on here that will be attending.
Your insurance sounds like my sisters. She has to do a 6 month Doctor supervised diet with exercise first also. I think that is really silly what are they thinking you are going to accomplish? Dont they know that if we could have gotten it off by doing that we would have already done it.? Just more of the same thinking about us." Well just quit eating so much and you will lose all that weight." I have heard that so much in my life havent you.
Well that is it for today. Everyone post to this and we will recap it again tomorrow morning. Jan
We used to have chickens. Nothing beats those fresh eggs. And not having any ticks in the yard because the chickens ran the yard and ate all the bugs. I sure do miss them sometimes. A lot of people say they can't tell the difference in eggs but I sure can tell a fresh egg from a store egg.
Jan you must have the most beautiful yard in the state. And as far as the being cold, I was looking forward to it to, but it does not seem to be a full time thing for me. I am hot one minute and cold the next.
I am praying for David Wilson this morning and hope all goes great for him. My husband is thinking about getting a pace maker but they keep telling him he is too young yet. His heart is in A-fib enlarged and weak and he just wants to have more energy.
And I pray all Craig needs is new glasses. Hope it is nothing really wrong with his eyes.
And I love tomatoes too. Just can't grow them around here. I have tried for many years but the dang squirrels get them before they are ready to be picked.
And I was wondering how many are going to make it to the meeting on the 13th in Sedalia. I hope and pray all are doing well today. I know I am doing a lot better. But I found out you don't take a drink of water and then lay down. That was not fun. I guess that's what they call dumping.
Well you all take care and have a great day.
Sky
My husband and I will be at the Sedalia meeting on the 13th. We are both looking forward to it. Dena said to bring an exercise ball if you have one because they are having someone come to show how to use it after WLS. I hope everyone is doing well today and am praying for those in need. I am getting so excited about my surgery, but the funniest thing happened yesterday. You know after you've spent time in the hospital, the hospital will send you a survey wanting to know your thoughts and ideas about the staff and the hospital itself. Well, I got mine yesterday! LOL I don't have my surgery until Aug. 10, 2006. I guess because I already paid the hospital for my surgery, someone thought I'd already been in. Either that or someone else had my surgery! Going to the beauty shop for a perm at 10:00, then lunch with my hubby, and then a mammogram. Gosh, I'm not looking forward to being squashed!!! I usually end up with bruises and tears under my boobs! Looks like there ought to be a better way to do this. Hope you all have a great and God's richest blessings to one and all!
Linda
Good Morning!
I have 10 minutes before I leave for work today so I thought I would post something to say hello. Today is a busy day, and my DH will be busy too as we are getting new windows in our house. Too bad it had to be this week but that is the only time they could schedule it. So last night we took all the blinds and curtains down so they can do it. When I get home I hope to have them back up and then I can clean tomorrow.
Jan, your yard must be beautiful. I have done all the planting of everything this year as I can do it easier. Yes you can eat tomatoes after surgery but not right away. We also have planted a lot of new shrubs etc. Yes you can all come to my house. we would have a reunion. I think it would be neat to open up a bed and breakfast in Sedalia catering to WLS patients and families. But I am not wealthy enough to do that. Wouldnt it be fun? Actually, I am going to try to make it to the meeting on the 13th Sky. Depends if I still have company or not. I definitely am going to try to come to Springfield one month (will have to stay over) so I can meet all of the people I talk to.
Well, got to go. Have a great day! Yes, married to the same man for 50 years, and love him even more than when we got married. Yes indeed!! God has blessed me very much!!! Colette
Good Morning
I woke up to thunder and wanted to crawl back into bed. I love it when we get a day and it is all dark and stormy outside. Yes I know I am nuts but even when I was little (child not size) lol I use to love to watch it storm. Of course I grew up for the most part in Iowa so we really got some doozies up there and several tornado's.
Yes, Jan I am going to try and get my pool up today as long as it doesnt rain all afternoon. Firgured I would do all errands first then come back and do my pool. So what is everyones plans for the day??? I hope you all have a good day. Stay Dry!!!
Love ya
Melissa
I almost had a few chickens once. We have what they call a "sale barn" here every Friday morning. It's like a huge yard sale/flea market and they sell just about any farm animal you can imagine too. Did I ever mention that I lived in a large city for 24 years? Famr animals are AWESOME!!!...lol...anyway, I ended up buying 2 ducklings, Hewey and Dewey. One of them had a gimpy foot and ended up drowning in the little pool I sunk in the ground for them. I cried for hours and then my sister bought me 2 more to cheer me up, Laverne and Shirley. Eventually, when they started flying out of the yard and I had to herd them back in, I had to give them to a friend who has a lot of property with a large pond. I still get tempted to buy more animals every now and then (hmmm, maybe a pig!!!) but I usually end up fighting off the urge...lol
Anyway, how is everyones week going? Mine's starting off ok, hope it gets better...lol

Hi Jan,
I got to feeling better and decided I would do some closet cleaning and get all my clothes in size order so I would be able to grab the right size on my weight loss journey. I couldn't believe how many clothes I had hid away in 2 different closets. I think I will have enough to make it through to next spring, Size 26/28 down to some extra large and some 16's. Makes you wonder why we keep clothes that are to little. I am a pastor's wife and it's a lot of what I call my church clothes, a lot of the dresses I saved I had paid anywhere from $40.00 to over $100.00 so I guess that is one reason to keep them. I am glad now that I did save them because I wouldn't want to buy clothes after losing every 20lbs! Right now I am really tired and got some pain going on. Alot of my problems, besides the back, pain is the Fibromyalgia, when you do have a good day you tend to do to much and then that puts back down for another 5 or 6 days. It's a vicious circle.
I am now 2 months, 10 days, 6 hours, 52 minutes, and 45 seconds away from WLS.
