WOW moment

Wayne posted his WOW moment so I am going to share mine.....I went to the Strawberry Festival in Kimmswick and walked all day. What fun to not feel like everyone had to wait for me and be winded all the time. I am 17 weeks out on Wednesday. Since surgery, I have lost 72 pounds plus 18 before the surgery - net loss is 90 pounds! I had on some old shorts (32W) and decided to run into Walmart and see if I could find a pair - I put on a pair of green jean shorts in a 26w and they fit! Not only that, they had some stretch so they were falling off by the end of all that walking - what a totally cool thing! I never could imagine buying shorts off the rack that have a button and a zipper! I still cannot judge what size I wear..... Anyway, I was amazed and grateful. I still have lots of nausea and my eyes want food that my stomach shouldn't have....keeping busy is the best answer. That's my moment, it feels really good and I wish that everyone here gets to experience that same feeling of pride and accomplishment. This is such a miracle!

Good for you! I can hardly wait to get on the losing side! I would love to be able to go to Wal*Mart and buy something I could wear. Instead of going to Cato or Fashion Bug and having to pay out so much! Makes me mad just because your a plus size it doesn't give them the right to rob you, and besides that, if you get larger than a size 18w, I suppose they think full figured women don't care what they wear! Just because a person is larger than "NORMAL" doesn't mean we don't like to have stylish clothing to choose from! What is "NORMAL" ? I say it's just a setting on the washing machine!

We'll keep a seat warm for you on the loser's bench. BTW, they also think if you are wider that you are also taller - ever notice the inseams on most bbw pants? Good Luck to you....
