Sunday Morning Coming Down

That is what my grandmother use to say , every Sunday. It is only 57 here this morning sort of nippy but I like this kind of weather. Makes me think of camping, cooking over an open campfire, fishing and cuddling down into a sleeping bag . Maybe after wls that can happen again. Its too hard to get up and down off the ground now. LOL. Think I would still want an air mattress tho. I may sell my antique car today. Dont know if it will happen or not. It is a 75 Pont. Convertable. Sort of rare they only made this body style one year and in the convertable too. Decided to sell it if possible so will have the money to pay the rest of surgery cost what ever they may be and to do some other things that we need to do. I bought it at quite a huge bargain and it is a beautiful car . I really will miss it too but we dont drive it that often . And those big motors need to be driven more often than we do. We built a lattice board cover around our big air conditioner unit outside yesterday. Looks so much better. We painted it white and so it sort of blends in with the house now instead of sticking out like a sore thumb. Will talk to you all later. Waiting to hear what you all are doing and have done. Jan

Good morning, Jan. Doesn't look like there's many of us up early this morning. LOL My husband is outside mowing the grass--it's wet, but he has other things to do later and it looks like rain here. We camp, but not on the ground. We have a 38' motorhome and it's just like taking your home with you. No back problems with sleeping on the ground. LOL We did the tent and ground thing when we were younger--didn't make any difference--it still was hard on the back. I ordered a sample 4-pack of the Profect Protica that is advertised on OH. It is the one that has 25 gms of protein and comes in the plastic tube. I've tried 2 of the 4 and they are really good. It's kind of like drinking jello that hasn't set up yet, but it's cold instead of hot. There is only 2.7 oz. in each tube. I think I'm going to get the case and have ready for after my surgery. It doesn't take long to drink them and the taste is fantastic! However, I sure wish there was something you could do with the tubes after you empty them. They are absolutely indistructible! They would be great to carry in your purse when you go someplace! Right now the company is giving 15% off of every order. That's why I decided to try them. Just thought you might be interested. I have started to order those but just havent. I guess right now would be a good time to do so. Everyone says that your taste are so different after surgery that i would be sort of leery about ordering a case but with that small amount surely you could get them down. Surely. I say that as a pre-op that dont know what im talking about but -- When is your surgery. it is in August too isnt it? mine is the 14th....Wish I could get them to move it up some. lol. I am really anxious to get this done and over with so I can get on with life. Yeah I know about camping on the ground there is no way i could lay on the ground now . I wouldnt be able to move , when I did try to get up. LOL. I only rememeber one time camping and sleeping on the ground that I was comfortable. It was on a real sandy beach in Texas . good Morning, First on the agenda here in our house this morning is to go to church and worship our Savior Jesus Christ. Then after lunch, I am going to clean out the garage! Yuck! But it needs done and we may need an overflow with all the company we are having next weekend. All of our 6 children will be here along with families and relatives as far away as Pennsylvania. Then I have to make a mad dash to GNC to get some protein powder. I am officially down 73 pounds and have lost 68 inches. To me that is a WOW moment. I may not be on much this week as I work monday and tuesday and have baking and some cooking and cleaning to do. Have a great week and if I have time I will pop on. Colette

Colette have a great time with all your kids. that will be a lot of fun. I remember when all my brothers and sisters use to decend on my parents , there were 6 of us too of which I am the oldest. But Parents are gone now as well as one of my brothers so it is seldom we all get together anymore. Dont wear yourself out . Let them fend for themselves. Well Good Morning to you all. I am doing so much better today. Funny how a good nights sleep in your own bed can make so much difference. I have been drinking my water eating my sf jello and my sf popsicles. Man I love those popsicles. I didn't care that much for them before my surgery but I just love the silly things now. Go figure. I am paying bills yuck. But I guess they have to be paid. Sounds like we are all having a pretty good Sunday today. It's raining here right now. But that's ok I may just take a walk in the rain after while. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day. And I am planning on going to the meeting on the 13th and hope to meet even more of you there. Jan & Everyone Hidy Ho everyone. I just got home not too long ago. Unloaded and started a load of washing. Seems it never fails that I always have at least a load or two when I come back from my parents house. lol Go figure!!! I thought while the house was quite and the laundry was washing I would check my mail and drop a post. Had a wonderful trip got my parents lawn mowed. And I actually fit on the riding lawn mower. I mowed the whole yard I think they have about 2 to 3 arce yard. It was so much fun got to get some sun too. We had a good time at the baby shower. I made a fruit basket out of a watermelon that looked like a baby stroller. It went over really well and I was pleased. Man talk about some swee****ermelon and cantalope YUMMY!!!! DH and my nephew went to eat lunch and they are bringing me back some shrimp with chineese veggies. Cant wait I am so ready for veggies (soft cooked). Just hanging out at the house relaxing. Mom had her 2nd round of chemo did well receiving it. But Friday night and Saturday night she didnt do so good. She is really sick and so tired but her nurse told her that days 3 thro 6 would be her bad days. She has lost about 90% of her hair and is taken it really good. I of course broke down and cried when I saw her. I had bought her some hats from Ebay for chemo patients and told her I would get her some more. Busy week coming up 2 Dr's appointments, pool to set up, bills to pay, grocery to get, go to DFS to try and sign my mother up for Medicaid, and get ready for a garage sale. I am selling my hospital bed, bypap machine, walker, wheelchair ect. Looking foward to someone else that needs to use it and being able to close that chapter in my life. Soooooooo glad you are home. Glad your mom is doing well or at least as well as she can be. Wow isnt that something about you mowing the whole lawn . Great. How much have you lost now. ? Yes I am planning on coming to the meeting with Carol from Forsyth. We are riding up together. I live about 30 minutes south of her so she said i could ride with her. Since it is getting dark later I can come at least in the summer time. I have to call and get an appointment about my eyes soon I have a feeling my cataracts are coming back on them. At least this time they can just use a lazer on them and is an easy fix. It must be nice to be able to sell all of that stuff from you old life. Since you wont need it now in your new life. I wish that meeting was not so far for me but 3 1/2 hours is too far to come. Especially right now after our big weekend this coming week. I would love to meet all of you. Colette
