Evening all, Baby Nate is here he came 4 weeks early here is the birth story. I went in to the hospital on 5/23 cause i was very sick and had diaherra and knew something wasnt right. They said Nates heartbeat was a little hight but it was because I was dehydrated well they sent me home and didnt tell the dr that I was having the diaherra. Me and my sister in law had a talk and I called the ob dr back told him how i was feeling what was wrong and he sent me in to hydrate me with fluids and where to send me home. Well i had a contraction and nates heartbeat dropped so ob dr ordered an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok and well it wasnt. I had 3 % amontic fluid and the dr said that he would have to take him c-section but would watch me over night and give me a steroid for his lungs. They watched me over night and keep waking me up cause he would move and his heartbeat would drop since there where no fluids he was laying on his cord so they would have me change the way i was laying. Let me tell you laying in a delivery bed that i wasnt going to deliver in really killed my back. Well at 7:45am on 5/25 they took me into the c-section room and got me prepaired with the epidural and all and by 8:09 he was born 5lbs 8 ozs 18 inches long when his daddy seen him being pulled out he started crying and all i wanted to hear was a cry. I heard a cry wasnt very loud but he cried. They cleaned him took him to nursery after letting me see him. Dr stictched me up went and checked on baby said he sounded great I was back in my room with in a hr holding my buddle of joy. I had one set of pain meds and thats it. My problem is my back is killing me I am dealing with anexiety of him not want to eat at first and post partnum depression. I am doing some what better but i have it really bad. Baby is doing good starting to eat better, however at 1 week check up he had lost down to 5 lbs if he hasnt gained by 2 week check up then they will do something different, Heres pictures http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid10470941 http://www.PictureTrail.com/gid10537451 Marsha

Marsha first off congradulations and he is absolutly beautiful. are the other two boys yours also? They are pretty too. With that being said please go get help for your post partnum depression. That is a very serious thing and will make you and he really bad. And may be causeing him to not eat well too. Take care of you and then you will be able to care for baby. Jan

Glad they got everything taken care of. Nate is a beautiful boy. My son was 5 lbs 5 oz and 18 inches long when he was born 6 weeks early also by c-section. My daughter was also a c-section. I had very little labor with my son and none with my daughter. I think the c-section is the best way to go from everything I have heard. Of course, you would rather not have the baby in distress. My son was also in distress. That's why they took him c-section. Then they scheduled a c-section for my daughter. Anyway, just wanted you to know that even though they start out small, they can grow to be REALLY BIG! My son is 6-ft tall and 200 lb. Very healthy. I guess those must be your nephews in the photo, right? I remember you saying that you were watching your nephews when you first went to OK. Anyway, congratulations! And yes, watch that post partum depression. Make sure you get whatever help you need for that. It's not something to ignore. Love you. Teresa

Congratulations! I especially like the picture where he has his hands folded under his *****the second link). Despite him being early, 5 lbs is still a good weight. My daughter was also a c-section, and after she was born, she lost 7 ounces...it's pretty normal. Have a great time being a mom! It's a lot of work, but SOOOOOO worth it! Pamela
