I got the call...

I got my call today with a surgery date of August 10! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Poor Dena, I've bugged her everyday this week wanting to know when Margie would call me. She has been so patient with me. And then, this afternoon I got the call. I don't think I've stopped smiling since! I could just those girls and Dr. H ,too. Thank all of you for your support. You all are the only ones that really know how I feel and how bad I want this. Better go now, I've got lots of family and friends to let know. Linda

Linda im so happy for you , you know i went the next wensday after you so that means im next to get the surgery date , how long did it take after you consoltation to hear the date? im just excited to heare that your date is here too bad in so far i know DR told me mine would be in augest but thats all no date

Benny, after I consulted with Dr. H, I went ahead and paid him for the surgery before I left the office. The girls told me to contact Sheila at the hospital and she would tell me what to do next. They said she would have to OK the surgery as far as the hospital was concerned. I called her on Thursday and she said all was OK with the hospital and all I needed to do was pay for the surgery and the anesthest (sp). I asked her how long she would be at her office, and that I would be right in to pay her. I grabbed my money, drove the 7 miles to the hospital and paid her, in cash, that afternoon. She told me she notified Margie that I was all paid and she could set a date for surgery. Margie called me yesterday with a date of Aug. 10. I am having an open rny and they're taking my gallbladder, too. Maybe that way I won't have to have surgery later. If everything is set with your insurance, I would think that Margie would be calling you sometime next week. I know Ronald got his date yesterday, too. He's Aug. 22. Good luck to you. Hang in there and it will be there before you know it. My husband and I will celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary while I'm in the hospital--no cake or special dinner for me this year! Our anniversary is Aug. 12 and my 58th birthday is Aug. 16. Isn't this a great anniversary and birthday gift?! I think so!!!!! Be patient--not like me, Linda
