Exclusions

Okay, I've been going through my benefits books and the only exclusion I see is "Weight Loss programs for medical and non-medical reasons". It says programs and not surgery. Is there a difference?

Becky, I would call your insurance just to verify. It couldnt hurt any way to just give them a shot and find out for sure. sometimes when you look through the exclusions they are not very forward. This way you will know for certain. I had to have at least 6 months documented supervised weightloss trys before they would even consider me. so they may have criteria that you will have to meet first. Good Luck! Jai

It sounds like you have a good chance to be approved. You may have to appeal a time or two but if they didn't allow it at all, it would be more specifically excluded. Good luck -I'll pray for you. Dannielle
