Holiday Week end.

man is it ever hot? Craig was thinking about you and the heat. I have been outside a lot to day. Got up really early to plant some things and at 6am it was already 73 and so humid , sweat was pouring. I hope that one thing God gives me after this surgey is the ability to be colder blooded. lol Sure didnt get everything planted that I wanted to do. Is this the way it is going to be a ll summer and it isnt even summer yet. I dont know if we are going to have any company this week end or not. Will be unusual if we dont have especially since it is a holiday. Joe wanted to go swiming but he cant do that because of the epidural he had yesterday. They said 72 hours at least before he could get in any water. not even a bath. He can shower but not bathe. So dont guess we will go down swimming. Maybe we can go Monday will check his site and see what it looks like. Hope you all have a great week end. Jan

Hey Jan, We are going to see xmen tonight with my boys. My daughter went with her cousin to their grandmothers till tuesday. She's ten and loves to hang out at the creek with all of them. Tomorrow I am going to finish up my patio. We did it last weekend and made it 10 x 10 but have decided its still too small so we are adding more tomorrow. Yes it was a scorcher today. I had to come in early. Heat and I dont get along well. My husband just bought me a canopy for over the patio too so that will be really nice when its all done. Sunday we are going to a family picnic / Cook Out. That should be interesting... I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Sounds like he is doing okay with the epidural. I know what you mean about the heat! I usually take care of my 2 nephews during the day while my sister works and all week I have been driving them back to my house so we could get in the pool. Today actually didn't seem as hot as it has been these last few days but I guess it was, I was in the pool for a total of MAYBE 10 minutes and my whole back is red and sore. It's been a mad house around here, tomorrow is our family reunion. Every half hour someone was dropping off ice or bbq grills or somethin else for tomorrow. Our garage is packed full of tables, chairs, ice chests, you name it and there is a path through the garage for coming in and out...lol I went to Wal-mart tonight to buy stuff for my pasta salad and they are TOTALLY out of cucumbers! Can you believe it? Thankfully my mother and my grandmother actually bought some earlier instead of waiting until the last minute like me (I'm a born procrastinator) and they let me have a couple. Naturally we have been cleaning like mad (you can't let out of town family see how you REALLY live...lol) I still have to find somewhere to stash all my painting stuff and my computer stuff (I usually keep it all on the dining room table) and I have about 3 loads of laundry to do, who knew you could go through so many stinkin' towels in 4 days. Hi Jan! I am sorry that you won't get to go swimming until at least Monday, but of course it is best to make sure that Joe is goo to go before jumping in! My family and I will be out on the lake in a rented pontoon boat with some friends on Saturday. My kids are so excited, they could hardly go to sleep. Of course, it is 1:14AM as I write this, so who can't go to sleep!!LOL! Sunday and Monday I will be working (as usual) to get an extra day off later this year. Having the surgery really took a huge chunk out of my vacation days this year. I'll take any extra time I can (especially when I get to chose the date then)! Well, off to bed. Enjoy your weekend! PS - I wrote to Cathy last week regarding some activities that I want to do as a group. She wrote back Thursday (last week) and said that she had to check some things out. So far I have not gotten a response so I don't know what she is dealing with right now. sorry.
