Still alive... and kickin'

I think.... We are slowly digging out of the mess from the flood... insurance co. came out and as expected ..denied paying even 1 cent of anything... stating that we didn't have flood insurance. Even though the flooding was due to a drain malfunctioning... Still dealing with sorting out damaged goods... but the clothing is washed and what could be saved is saved. Same for the pictures..... It is laughable now...but last week not so. The day after the flooding we had the refrigerator go out AND the ho****er heater as well. Fridge is in the shop and my loaner is in the garage (another funny story but they couldn't get it IN the house). and the ho****er heater is fixed. I still have a tiny bit left of my sense of humor but gosh darn... this has NOT been a good last couple of weeks for us.... On a good note ... I finally went out and bought a few pairs of pants... my 10's were getting baggy...and I couldn't believe that I actually fit in some size 6's and size 8's... Size 6 and 8? Still can't wrap my head around those numbers. Single digits... WHOA Thanks for thinking of us during this hard time we have gone through.... the prayers and well wishes helped sustain us... it was pretty bleak there for a few days.... ((hugs)) Elizabeth~

Elizabeth so good to hear from you and that you have pulled thru this. Things happen that make us wonder what and why but there has to be reason in the grand scheme of things or life makes no sense at all. We all love you and care about you and wish there was someway we could ease the pain of your losses. All we can offer is prayers. Did you read that I now have a surgery date of August 14th.? I am tickeled pink. one of these days i hopefully will buying size 6 and 8s again. Jan

Jan.... Thanks again for thinking of us at this trying time... it has been totally unbelievable the things that have happened lately... WHEW for sure! ....and yes I did see that surgery date post and I fired right back to you on it!!!! I know you must be so excited honey!!! Man ... that is just the best news yet eh? Just think about NEXT year when it is time to get out in the garden. Goodness gracious girlie... you are going to be planting up a STORM!!! that is what my husband says. He says i can out do most 40 year olds now and doesnt know what in the sam hill he will do with me when I have lost all my excess weight. I told him that i will use up some of the energy walking. I love doing that. I cant wait to be able to do some of the stuff in the garden that i cant do now. Ill be putting water ponds in everywhere. lol Jan
