I guess everyone is busy outside or gone somewhere since it is so warm , well more than warm it is downright hot out. I wasnt going to turn the a/c on yet but DH said it was too hot not too. Got to 91 right here today. Turned the misters on some of my flower beds today. The ones that have baby plants in them were just getting toooooo hot and wilting. Joe hasnt caught any more fish in the last day or two. so I guess the flat head catfish are on their beds right now. Will probably be August before they start biting again but the Blues should start any time now. Ive been re painting the walls of the guest house this morning or at least started but It got so hot in there I had to quit. Need to get another A/C for over there. Cant really afford one but my brother owes me some money and he has one sitting in his shed that is a new one may talk to him about doing a trade. Hope everyone is doing ok.and is having a great week end. Jan

Jan, I'm here now. I was outside for a good part of the day. I planted, watered and mulched two of my flower beds. I wish I lived closer to you. I saw the pictures of your flowers, and they are beautiful. I could use some leassons. I have a sad/funny story to tell about one of my flower beds. I have been planting daisy and daisy-like flowers in that bed for years. Last summer I was too fat, tired and hurting to do anything to the bed. My DH decided to help me recently. He used the weed eater on it. He told me there weren't any flowers--just weeds in there. I reminded him he is the man who says he doesn't know a flower from a weed and can't help me with the gardens. Oh well. I convinced him he need to turn the soil over in the bed for me, and I got to buy more perennials. More fun for me in the long run. You better get that air conditioner for your guest house. You are going to melt in there this summer trying to paint. It's only in the mid 70s here, so it isn't too bad. I still have my A/C on, because we have no shade close to the house, and there is no breeze. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Linda

I doubt if I could teach you anything but would be fun to live next door to you just the same. That is sad about your husband cutting down all your daisies down. but you got to plant more in there now. Yeah i called my brother today about his air conditioner. He is bringing it over Monday I think. Got up to 91 here today. Jan

Jan I went thro my closet today. DH was cleaning out his garage and found a big tote with all my summer clothes in it. So bless his heart he brought it in for me and I went thro it and hung up all my shorts and shirts. Now he has to luge that big thing back outside and put it in the garage with all my winter clothes in it. lol Burned me acouple of CD so I can put in my car for when were traveling around. Cleaned up my kitchen and seperated all the clothes so I can do laundry tommorow. Sat outside for spirts between everything else but it was mighty sultry today. Was hoping it would rain for awhile I wanted to go sit in the rain to cool off. Trying not to turn the A/C on until I absoultly have too. I know me I would just want to sit in it all the time then. Actually got to watch a show on lifetime tonight was pretty good. Havent done that in a long time. Now I am checking my email and relaxing for the evening. Getting ready to jump (not really jump) in the shower and maybe watch wrestleing that hubby taped last night. My house is really starting to shape up. Cant wait until I get back so I can start to paint my lighthouse for my pond. I hope you all have a great weekend. Love ya Melissa

Dont you know you arent going to be able to wear those winter clothes when it turns cold again. Yeah it was really hot today and they just said that it will be hot again tomorrow. I heard thunder just while ago tho. We turned on the a/c for awhile today but turned it off now. I hate those high elect bills. You be careful on your trip . and we will be anxiously awaiting for you to get back. Jan

Hello Jan I'm here just lurking about I guess. My allergies have been really bad. I have been sneezing and coughing like crazy. I am hoping and praying that this does not cause them to postpone my surgery. I start by 10-day pre op diet tomorrow. So my husband and oldest daughter went fishing to try and get a mess of crappie so I can have fried crappie one last time. I am so ready for all of this. June 1st will be here before I know it on one hand but it is taking so very long to get here on the other hand. I'm sure you all know what I mean by that. And Melissa I am so very happy for you. I hope I get off my c-pap and do as good as you have been doing. All of you are such inspirations to me. May God keep each and every one of you in his loving embrace and bless you all. Sky P.S. ok I think I know what DH stands for but someone please clue me in on it.

DH = Dear Hubby or Husband or could mean Dear Heart too i guess. lol Man June 1st is just around the corner. Hey if your DH and DD (darling daughter) dont get a mess of crappie, come down I have some in the Freezer. lol Along with about 15 packages of catfish. Need to probably go see doctor about allergies , you wouldnt want to be coughing I wouldnt think after surgery. Jan

Jan Thanks so much for the offer of fish. My DH and DD didn't get any. But I don't even know where Cedar Creek is. LOL OH well guess I don't need any fried fish anyway. I have my 3-month check up with our family Dr. on the 25th and I go to the hospital on the 24th for all my pre-op stuff. I know the coughing is not going to be fun if they go ahead with the surgery. I had an emergency c-section with DD #1 and I had a really bad cold at the time. Nov. 4th. They came up and made me cough every hour or so. You want to talk about fun that was not it. It didn't take me long to learn to hold a pillow to my incision to cough. I am on pins and needles right now. I am also going to try to quite smoking which I have been doing since I was 7 years old. I had older sisters who taught me how to smoke so I couldn't tell on them for doing it. LOL I have cut back quite a bit on the ole cancer sticks. I am praying to God that I can just turn over a whole new leaf on my life. I know I can do it with his help. But any and all prayers would sure help. Well I hope you all have a great day. Sky
