Hi fellow MO folks! I don't post here neough but fo rhtose of you who know me.....I'm doing FABULOUS! Had a lower-body-lift 9 days ago. Went out shopping yesterday with a friend from my local support group for a much needed get away!! We were out 4 hrs, quite a bit of walking and it felt good....thought I'd pay for it later but NO, no pain. Haven't had any pain killers AT ALL for 3 days now. Today I DROVE myself to town, had lunch with friends, got 2 more drains out (had one removed Tues) and the last is set to come out next Tuesday. And I didn't even have any pain with those either. I've felt very blessed! I can almost stand completely upright! Felt like a caveman for several days!! I'm already loving the new flat tummy!! Still haev LOTS of swelling but am able to see more and more everyday what an AMAZING job Dr Carl Price at COX did for me! Sooooooo, looking forward to seeing my ONE year post-op pals on Monday night! Hugs, Tami

Tami, Glad you are doing so well. And especially that you are feeling so great. You tummy and all will even improve a lot in the next 2 months as all the swelling inside goes away. Have a great week end. Colette

Wow, great to hear a positive report from this surgery. I've read so many horror stories I wasn't even interested in considering such an operation. Did your insurance pay or was it self pay? Did they remove skin or how did they do it? Thanks for any info.

Teresa, Yes they removed alot of skin. I lost 115 pounds so I didn't find as much skin as some might but I think he got near 10 inches from the front, tapering off as he went aorund. BUT I AM cut ALL the way aorund....the incision in the back looks like the top of a heart! lol It's low enough that I can wear low rise jeans. I had sculpting (lipo-suction) on my inner and outer thighs.....the LIFTING he did al the way aroudn was like a butt and thigh lift somewhat. I STILL could use an inner thigh lift but I doubt I will do it. I can live with what's left. And I had folds of skin under my but that seem to be gone....still isn't perfect but MUCH better than before. I WOULD do it again, and although my Dr had only done a "handful" Of htis preceedure before me....he did and awsome job. He's very experienced in many other surgeries but it's the putting them all together to make this one proceedure that's farely new to him. I had to have faith!! : ) Glad I did!!! Have a great Sunday!! Tamara

Hi Tami! I am so glad to see you posting and doing well. I have thought about you much over the last couple of weeks. I am willing to bet that you look amazing, even with the swelling. I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting if you can make it to the less than 1 year post op meeting on the 12th. You are beautiful!! Lisa Sherrill
