Hi, all you lovely Missourians

Just wanted to say Hey to everyone and so glad that some surgery dates are being given by Dr. Hornbostel. I will be having my surgery at Mercy St. John's in Spfld because that is my insurance. I have a surgeons appointment for June 5 and next Monday, 4/22, I go to my PCP to begin my six months diet/exercise protocol. It is just a bunch of bull**** but my surgeon, Dr. Hodges, says you have to play whatever game your insurance calls for because otherwise they can delay/deny you for another six months. I could go to St. John's Fitness Center for $12.50/month because my husband is already a member but MedPay insists that I go to New Images at Hammons Heart Center and pay $50/month. DH says don't argue with them or they will never approve you and I'm sure he's right. Dr. Hodges office stresses that you have to be sure your PCP documents your weight and weight loss efforts every month for the six months. They suggest a pain-in-the bum diet and exercise journal and I know they are right. I am going to be such a perfect person that there will be no way they can deny me. I WILL win!!! They have never met anyone as relentless as I am. That's what DH calls me, relentless. You all are great, I've learned so much from you. Hi Lana, I see we are neighbors! Have you been to our support group the 2nd Monday of each month? If not, do come. And if we've already met sorry! So many people!!! : ) Good luck and since you are soooooo relentless I am sure you'll get this done!!! Tami
