Hi everyone, I have been AWOL from the boards for a while. As some of you know, my father has been sick since last October and in hospitals and nursing homes. Last Wednesday I got a call that he had been taken back to the hospital and might not live long enough for me to get there. I did make it in time, and he struggle for 3 whole days. It was awful. He passed away last Friday, and it is still hard to believe. You think you are prepared for it, but I sure wasn't. He was 86 years old, and he just couldn't battle back from pneumonia, etc. This was his 3rd case of pneumonia since October. I will try to be a better board member now and support the newbies. I know how much the support meant to me when I was facing surgery. I'm sorry to rain on this board on such a lovely day, but I just had to let you guys know about this. Linda

Linda Dont for one minute think you havent been here any of us. I am just so sorry that we couldnt be there for you. It is never easy to lose a family member no matter what age they are. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I am glad to see you back on the board. We sure did miss you while you was gone. I go back to see Dr. Scott on Wed May 24th, 2006. I am planning on spending the night on the 23rd. Maybe we can actually get together this time while I am there. Drop me a email when you get the chance. Love ya Melissa

Linda so sorry to hear of your loss. No i dont guess we are ever prepared to lose a loved one and a parent is hard because that is one of those people that love you with no holds barred. You take care of Linda and we know we can always count on you for assurance and love and support. Jan

Hello Linda. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I agree, I don't think we are ever fully prepared for the loss of a loved one. You and your family are in my prayers. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I am glad you are back on the boards, you were missed. Wayne

Linda I was wondering where you was....I too lost my father when I was only 10 years old on Christmas Eve.. 1970...But, I cant imagine how I would have handled it knowing him as long you have yours...Iam so sorry to hear this Linda..Iam giving you a big hug right now... I'll say a little prayer for you tonight also...I know Jesus will give you comfort. No one ever knows what to say in times like these Linda..But just to know that he is with our heavenly father.. Feelling no pain or sorrow....Its also comforting to know you have alot of good people who love and care of you too....Linda like Mellissa said Dont ever think bad about telling your friends how you feel...That is what we are here for...and you know Ive cried alot and vented when I first came here...and you guys told me to keep coming back and I did...You posted to me the other day and showed me that you cared and that meant alot to me Linda...So, we all will be here for you.....So you go ahead and cry, get it all out..There is nothing in the world wrong with it at all..Just glad you're back and hope things get better for you............your newbie buddy Craig Lee
