My namie is Jai and im 28 years old. I have 3 children and a wonderful husband. I am hoping to under go lap rny. I have completed everything except my tsh level wich I have friday. I have Cigna ins. I have done the gastric simulator implant. I was in that study (shape study) for 1 yr and 3 months under Dr. Eagon and Dr. Klein here in STL. I unfortunatly was on the off side. (half of us were turned off and half on no one knew untill our year date) I did lose 17 pounds but was gaining it all back the last few months that I was there. I have high blood presure and lots of joint/knee pain. I am currently at 291 pounds and am 5'10. I am going through the New Start program and so far so good. I think they are getting tired of me calling on all the time.LOL. They told me today once I have my tsh level and they get it they will submitt it to the surgen and he will set a date to see me and then they will send it all into the insurance for final approval. (already got the confirmation that they will cover it if ive had past medically supervised weight loss program).. So fingers crossed!! I am so happy for all of you who are doing well and will keep those of you struggling in my thoughts and prayers. Jai

Jamie Hello, I think sometimes we all think that we bugg the doctors too much. But trust me sometimes if we didnt we wouldnt be where we are right now. I am sure they know your excited and anxious for a date. Please keep us posted on how your doing and when you get your date. If there is anything we can do please feel free to post and ask. That is what we are all here for!! Take Care Melissa

Thank you to everyone who has replied. It is nice to have some where to go and talk or share concerns. I have been reading the Missouri board for awhile now. You all are like a tight nit family. I have read many of your profiles and have seen how many of you have struggled alot! In the end... Are you still glad you went through with it? I my self have read so much about it and have done so much research. But like many of you have said.. IT doesnt really prepare you for the change afterword. The struggle with eating and any complications.. The moods and head hunger.. dumping... I want to feel better about myself.. Feel good to be me.. I want to be able to run and play with my kids and not have to tell them I cant do it. It is all very ... well how to put it... works on your mind and plays on your thoughts constantly.. at least mine. I know even after surgery it will take a long time and alot of work... alot of mental work too. I'm not looking for a quick fix just a little help to get me going the way I should. or as i have seen many of you refer to it.. a tool.. something to help me along the way.. sorry for rambling.. Jai
