Vocational Rehab in Missouri ??

Has anyone in Missouri had Voc.Rehab pay for their surgery? If so what are the guidelines and how do you get started? Dannielle

Dannielle, I've honestly heard very confusing things in regard to Voc. Rehab. financing WLS so here's what I think you should do. Below is the email address of a VR rep. and she's for my county....LAWRENCE. Email Kim and ask her questions...better to get information straight from the source and also...she can tell you who to contact in your county! I hope this helps you a little. I talked to Voc. Rehab. where I live (Poplar Bluff) and the lady flat out said no, she said if I had a broken arm or leg and needed surgery to get back to work then they would pay for it. Just goes to show how clueless some people are. This was 2 years ago so things could be different now. I think it also has to do with where you live, I live in a small town and I'm sure a lot of people around here have no idea what WLS is all about. Good Luck. Lia
