good morning Missouri!! and Jan and Craig
Thought I would say hello to all today. I am blessed to have a day off and I am playing catch up today as I have to work tomorrow and Sat. Just want to say to all the pre-ops that soon your day will be here. Hang in There!!! All of you Medicare people -Hang in there and your day will be there too. If you have questions please post or email me. I am out 5 1/2 months and can only tell you I feel fantastic. I am down 69 pounds and I have 34 to go. The eating is going pretty good, but I still have to chew chew chew and drink my protein shake and take all my pills and yes I even have to EXERCISE!!!!!!! God is good, awesome, and has blessed me with a wonderful family and good friends on here. Colette
good to see you this morning Colette. did you get my email? I still feel so tired from our trip yesterday. Dr. H. is a nice plesant man but did seem a little rushed yesterday. He gave me the book to look over and read. Also found out my Psych doc hadnt faxed in my paper work so had to put a call into him this morning. That really makes me mad that people dont do what they say they will. Will give him today and then call Sedalia or can I email Dena and have her to check and see if they got the eval from him? If they didnt I may drive over there and tell him to give it to me and I will fax it to them. I am excited that I am now at least on the list. Cant wait. Jan
Jan,
I did not get an email from you but our cp was all messed up the last 2 days also. The tech had to come out and fix it. It is our carrier, they are growing too fast and cant handle all the traffic. If we have many more interruptions, we are going to switch carriers. About your papers not faxed in, I would call every day and ask if they are in. It also perturbs me too, when things are not done. However, I also know how busy the offices get (dr) and how things can be put aside. Glad you had a safe trip. Sedalia is 45 minutes away for me. Soon you will be on the losing side. Colette
Hi Colette, glad to hear your good report that you are feeling good and getting some exercise, I'll be happy when I can do that too and tie my own shoes for a change . I have an appointment on May17th with Dr. Hornbostel and I can't thank you enough for suggesting him when I was so frantic and disgusted and afraid i wasn't going to have surgery because my previous surgeon had dropped Medicare paients. My son says it was just a divine delay and you were part of God's plan to direct me to the Dr. Just wanted to say to you God bless you and thanks again. Maybe I'll be joining you all soon on the losing side.
Barbara,
so glad that you are going to Dr. Hornbostel. I can say he is a great doctor because I have been there, and through surgery, and I mean every word of it. We both know that God has a plan and a time for all things to happen. Praise Him every day! Soon you will get that call and I will hear your joy clear in Concordia. LOL. Colette
Colette, glad to hear from you. I feel a little apprehensive right now not knowing what to expect but praying that Dr. Hornbostel will accept me as a patient. Sedalia is 1 hour and 40 minutes from where I live but it is an easy drive and I always have my trusted side kick with me (my husband) who is really my greatest supporter and as soon as I know something I will let you know. Please keep me in your prayers.
G'day to you too even IF it is now approaching evening...(just got home from work!)...
Yes it is so wonderful to be postop and to see all the things that we can now do ... it just doesn't seem real sometimes...and I find myself still awestruck over the changes that have occured in MY life...
Congrats on all the success that you have had thus far... with your frame of mind and determination I KNOW that you are going to be successful!
Way to go!
Elizabeth~
