Topic: Plastic surgeon recommendations?
As my one year surgiversary approaches, I'm starting to think about plastic surgery.  In a perfect world, I'd like to get everything done- breasts, stomach, back, arms, legs.

Any recommendations on a good plastic surgeon?  Was he able to get insurance to pay for your BL or tummy tuck?

Thanks!
Lisa

Aren't bucket lists great?  I have a lot on my list, too.  Everyone's list sounds awesome.

*  I want to go to Ireland.  Stopping off in London and Paris on the way wouldn't be too bad either.

*  I want to run a half-marathon in DisneyWorld.  That's actually on the horizon--I've paid the entry fee for November!

*  I would love to go on an African safari.

*  I want to do a road trip with my travel trailer up to Alaska and spend time travelling around.

*  I'd like to do a Triathlon this summer.   Need to find the right one on the right date yet...

Heidi, you should take the first step on your Warrior Dash goal, and walk/run the Challenge Obesity 5K with us on April 21st.  We have a team, the Formerly Fat Friends.  If you go to sign up, our password is "coffee."  We have people planning to walk, or run, or both.  We'll have fun!

Topic: 3 yr surgiversary
Tomorrow is my 3rd anniversary for my RNY.  I can't believe it has been so long.  I regained about 13 pounds after about a year but had a tummy tuck and arm lift and between that and being more on track, it is back off.

This certainly hasn't been an easy journey in a lot of ways and I have some personal issues that I am struggling with that are directly related to the RNY, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I don't think I have even visited OH in probably a year.  I try to live my life as a healthier person now, not a weight loss surgery patient.  It seems to be working, but regain is always a threat, so I know where to turn for support if I need it.

Good luck to anyone starting this journey - it is truly a ride!

Topic: RE: Dr. Schwartz - or - Dr. Drew ??? (Abbott Northwest)
Hi! I am 3.5 years post op from RYN with Dr Drew! He was my savior in human clothes and he is patient and wants you to be successful! I love him and would recommend him to anyone! I work at Abbott and you'll be in good hands! Good luck in your decision but just know all of the drs on your list are very good and would be in good hands with any of those surgeons. Good Luck and best wishes!!

Hi!  I am also back from being gone for a while and its so nice to see familiar faces (Connie and Darla) just in my first post!  I was always more of a lurker but hoping I can figure out how to navigate these boards and make the most of it.  I had my surgery in 2004 with Dr Jones and have maintained very well until now.  That's why I'm here-to share and see what others are doing fto get back on track.  And to just catch up, too!
