Topic: Start of a new month Weigh-In--new beginning for spring!
Good Monday morning, everyone!  This is where those of us who wish to be accountable--mostly to ourselves--post Monday morning weigh-ins.  It's a chance to look back on your week last week, celebrate victories and plan to make changes for the upcoming week if you need to.  No need to post actual weight if you don't want to, but we don't judge, one way or another.

Here's my stats:

Starting weight: 298.4 lbs
Last week: 141.4 lbs
This week: 141.6
Gain of 0.2 lbs.

Not the right direction, but again, I'm not concerned.  Seems like as I add running mileage I add appetite!  I was ravenous this weekend, ate everything in sight.

Paul:  mileage for Sunday, March 25 through Saturday March 31st was 28.3 miles running.  Add another 7.2 on the elliptical for the week for 35.5 miles total.  I did a total of 9 miles on Saturday--4 before our coffee group, and 5 after I left coffee.  Had to challenge you.

So how is everybody else doing?  Coffee on Saturday was lots of fun--great group again!  It was lovely to see so many folks!  Have a great week, everyone.

Topic: RE: Plastic surgeon recommendations?
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wilke at Edina Plastic Surgery.  He was a little more expensive, but connected to the hospital and has a very high satisfaction rating.  He is extremely personable - answers questions honestly and openly without telling you what you want to hear.

I had my breasts lifted and augmented (400cc's) and brachioplasty on my arms.  I had about 5 inches of skin removed from each arm.  Recovery was quick for me - barely any pain... just discomfort.  I didn't even need pain meds other than tylenol after the first 2 days.

The cost for both procedures was $12,000.   Insurance will not pay for plastic surgery - just get used to the fact you will be paying out of pocket.  The most you can hope to get them to cover is a panniculectomy which is a hack job where they just remove the skin and do not tighten anything up.

Most surgeons will not even deal with the insurance companies because of all the red tape they have to go through to get $800 towards the panniculectomy.

Best of luck to you!!!

Stephanie

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

Connie,

I contacted Kristin.  I have an appointment for next Friday.  I have labs done tomorrow.  I need to get back to basics and do this for myself.  As this is not where I wanted to be when I started this journey. Why is life just so hard sometimes?
