Hi Everyone!
This Thursday's topic will be maintaining weight loss! Mama Amy from Unity Hospital sent me a great article and I've found a few other informational articles I'd like to share. I know many of you are pre-ops or very recent post-ops and not yet in maintenance, but the the same tips are probably part of your plan already. I love the idea of everyone sharing ideas and goals for long term success! I look forward to seeing everyone Thursday!

I am still struggling with the weight. I am up 2 pounds and that is after two weeks of increased walking/biking. I did 3 x 5ks (9.3 miles) this week plus 19 miles on the bike. I thought it was a pretty good overall effort. However, the food thing must be put in better balance.
Well it is a new day....Onward!!

Good morning, everyone! It's a gorgeous morning, hope you are all feeling great!
I had a pretty good week. That 2-3 lbs that comes and goes went away this week, and I'd like it to stay lost. It won't, though, not this week. I need to carb-load before my race on Saturday, so I will be deliberately eating lots of carbs and hoping to gain weight--isn't that a weird thing to say (and do!)???
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 142
This week: 137.9
Lost 4.1 lbs this week
Paul: total run mileage this week was a bit lower: 21.3 miles, plus one elliptical day at 3.7 miles. You'll beat me this week, I bet!
For those of you who missed it, we had a fabulous time at the Charities Challenge 5K on Saturday! There's a great photo slideshow at http://www.charitieschallenge.org/html/challenge_obesity_5k. html
You will see lots of our members looking good and strong! We have plans to do it again this summer, so watch the board for more details!!

Feel free to join us South of the River for coffee support group on Saturdays. This Saturday should be at 8:30am at the Caribou in Byerly's in Eagan, isn't that right, peeps?
I won't be there, I will be running a half-marathon, YIKES!
