This week: 140.9
Loss of 0.2 lbs this week
Not much loss and I'm not surprised. I think I've kind of hit my "sweet spot" and going down from here will be a struggle. I'm fine where I"m at, so that's okay.
I got a lot of miles in running this week. 23.2 miles total running last week, including 10.5 on Sunday alone. That wiped me out for the day! This week is an easier week on my training plan, then I start to ramp up for the half. My next race is on Saturday, July 28th--I am doing the Quarter Marathon at the Run for Blood. I haven't run this race before, so we'll see how it goes.
Hope everyone is doing well and reaching their goals!
You will not be laid up so long that you can't go and get what you need. Get a few things here and there and then play it by ear. Good luck!
How's the running class going, Deb?
The Northside WLS Support group is sponsoring a Kayaking/Canoing Trip this Saturday and everyone is welcome to join us!! We will meet Saturday Morning at 10:00 at the Wild River State Park in Center City, MN. The cost is $40 for kayak rental and $45 for a canoe. The price includes life vests and paddle rental as well as the shuttle ride. If you have your own kayak or canoe, you can pay $15 for the shuttle ride alone.
If you've never tried this fun trip...it's a blast! Try a new sport and fall in love! Come and see nature's beauty from the beautiful St. Croix River. If you're interested, please use this link to get information and pay for your reservation with Erics Canoe Rental:

It's best if you make reservations ahead of time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and we can talk. We'd love to get a rough head count and family/friends are definitely welcome, the more the merrier. I did this trip several times last summer.
The Northtown Barnes and Noble Support meeting is NOT canceled, and will take place for those folks who are interested. Summer has been very busy for all of us, and although attendance is lower, this group still meets every Saturday!
I find a 'magic bullet' style blender very useful still-- can use it to puree/chop foods, and blend protein shakes. I found a Macy's brand on sale for less than $25.00.
For non dietary needs, I found a 'grabber' tool really useful (they sent me home with one after surgery). Really helps in those early days when you can't bend over very well-- and comes in handy still for getting objects out of high cupboards or when things fall behind furniture- especially if they have the magnet on the end.
