Topic: RE: Xyngular Ignite??? Anyone tried it?
Actually, I did not do "well" on this 8-day program. I felt hungry, angry b/c I was hungry, deprived and the protein powder only has 10g of protein!!!! I am used to my bariartric advantage or Unjury that w/out milk has 22g!!! Makes way more sense at least for RNY people.
I think I did better and felt it was WAY easier to follow the 5-day pouch test that a lot of RNY'ers do to get their pouch back on track. AND I lost the same amount of weight!!
I don't know...I can see why the Xyngular might work for some but I was not impressed. or happy.

I tried this product prior to my RNY. I too would be interested to see if anyone else had tried it. Also I heard the protein used in the product is a much higher quality of protein and therefore not nearly as much protein is needed???? Not sure how true this is or if it is a protein that "we" can use. HMMM
Good luck!

Topic: Labor Day weigh-in--how's everybody?
Hope you are all having a fine Labor Day weekend. It is always bittersweet--I love fall, but it means the slide into winter has begun. Hope you are all resisting the temping BBQ food and fair food and all of that.
My weight has been down all wee****il today--of course. I think my body knows when weigh-in day is.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 137.0
This week: 139.4
Gain of 2.4 lbs this week
It is fun to post my running mileage this week, since this week includes my half-marathon,
So total running mileage for the week is 24.8 miles, and I took 3 days off this week. (I took today off, too, but that was sheer laziness.)
Starting a new training program as of yesterday--I have 10 weeks until my next half-marathon, which is the Disney Wine & Dine Half. I'm so excited about this one--my first "destination" race! I plan to run slowly and take pictures of myself with every character on the course. In the meantime, we need a fall group race--Julie votes for "Running with the Law" I think, which sounds like fun. Any others?

I hope you are feeling better soon. That does not sound like fun! See you on one of these Saturdays.
I won't be there for the next couple of weeks: I'm having a garage sale next Saturday, and moving the Saturday after that. Hopefully the fall will slow down after all of that! I have to plan my next race.

Dr. James McGreevy of St. Paul Surgeons accepts both.
St. Paul Surgeons

Surgery is done at United Hospital in St. Paul. The surgeons office has 2 offices, 1 in Maplewood and 1 in St. Paul near United Hospital. St. Paul Surgeons also has Dr. William Rupp and Dr. Peter Kelly who do bariatric surgery. I highly recomment Dr. McGreevy. He is very knowledgable and nice. The staff of St. Paul Surgeons is very kind as well. United Hospital is the best hospital I have ever been to.

Bummed I couldn't make it this morning. I was in the ER yesterday most of the day and was feeling pretty icky. Having trouble keeping food down and just uncomfortable. If I'm the same on Tuesday, they are going to scope me. Sorry I missed you guys!
Topic: RE: South of the river group!
I totally concur with everyone's comments, they are the best group of people. Not been able to attend the last few weeks and tomorrow isn't any better. Next weekend for sure. Haven't been to the fair but up to our armpits in paint brushes and cupboards all apart in the kitchen. Both working full time and only getting a hour or two a night isn't too convenient to get other things done, especially when the stove and refrigerator are in our living room. But I've lost a few pounds and haven't over indulged even though my eating habits are totally our of balance right now. Have a great coffee conversation and hello to all the new folks.
Topic: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
Hello Members,
On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery. It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to".
Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:
Name
If they accept Medicare and or Medicaid
Phone number
Facility
Address
This list will remain here for our members to access and use.
Thank you so much!!!
