I had my surgery Oct. 15th, but am willing to help with support> Not sure where your located in MN I'm in Saint Paul but boarder Maplewood/Oakdale. I'm trying to get into a workout routine now (easier said then done)! Iknow Saint Joseph hospital offers a free support group once a month also for RNY/Sleeve patients.

Love the pictures!! What an adorable little guy. You can do it. Don't beat yourself up over the weight. Everyone gains more than they would like when they are pregnant. Congratulations!!!
Good Monday morning, all: how did your Thanksgiving strategy work for you? Mine went okay, except for the afternoon grazing. Friday was actually worse--ate too much, drank too much, which causes me to eat too much. It's a vicious circle.

This week: 140.0
Gain of 1.5 lbs
I did two things that are good this weekend: I joined the Eagan Fitness Center, and I went on Friday morning for the first time. Going to a High Intensity Interval class tonight. I also started a mile-a-day running challenge: it is to run at least 1 mile every day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. So far, so good: I did 5 miles on Thursday, 1 on Friday, 4 on Saturday and 2 + yesterday. Gotta keep moving to keep burning, right?
Well 6 months on the 30th and so far so good, down just over 140 pounds here is a current pic! Thanks for all the words of encouragement!
This is my first major holiday since my RNY so this year I will be feeling it out, for the most part I plan on really keeping water in me, plus staying away from high starchy foods. Stick to the turkey and veggies! We will see how it works
Hi All:
I am home from my Disney vacation, and was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale. I feel like I ate my way across DisneyWorld, but still no weight gain, WOOT! We ran the half-marathon, and also ran a couple of other times around the resort, plus lots of walking. I'm sure that helped.

This week is a challenging one for a lot of people: an entire holiday built around a huge meal! What are your strategies for Thanksgiving? My strategy last year, that I plan to repeat this year, is to take just a taste of the stuff I like. I don't want to tell myself I "can't" have something, so I will just have a bite or two of the dishes I really enjoy. In my family, there are enough different dishes that even one bite of everything fills a plate!
My downfall is the grazing--we always have the endless dessert and snack table--I just need to stay away from that. Fortunately, there is always someone to go for a walk with. How about you?
Please do send me the info. Thank you for the offer!
