Topic: RE: WAKE UP, MINNESOTA!!!
Life got busy for me and haven't been on as much. I have to get up at 3:30am for my job and by the time I get home, I don't want to do anything! I can say I am doing great with no complaints...well no complaints about WLS. LOL

I am tired tired tired!! My new job has been exhausting but finally getting into a routine. I have been in a stall for 3 weeks but finally kicked it. I think my job knocked me out of my stall plus I physically feel stronger now going into my third week of my job. That first week was a doozy though!

Topic: RE: Approaching 18 mo post surgery - where is my hair?
I think that everyone will be different in the hair loss department, but to increase chances of regrowth, there are 3 things I do.
Protein FIRST at all meals
5,000mcg of Biotin daily
Nioxin shampoo and conditioner (WHICH, btw, can be much more reasonably priced on Amazon than any retail location I've purchased it from!)
I lost a lot, but it has grown in much thicker than it was (I've had thyroid issues for years), and it grew in much curlier than it ever was! (Figures, when the 'in' thing is straight, flat-ironed hair!)

I can't argue life getting busy, especially in the summertime! But in my 4+ years on this board, I just can't get over how slow it has become. 'Back in the day', we'd have more than two pages of NEW posts per day!
Oh well, as long as it doesn't come to a screeching halt ~
As for the quote I posted, and what it means to me? It's just very difficult to break old habits - especially when they creep back in once we're a ways out from WLS. I have to constantly remind myself that food is fuel, not recreation. I don't need quantity, but quality. And I will allow myself to have snacks, even things I know I shouldn't have - but if I want to maintain or even lose more weight (WHICH I DO!), I have to break the habits that prevent me from succeeding.

Yessir, it was a GORGEOUS morning to be out on the patio! In fact, I was there until after 1pm!

Topic: Approaching 18 mo post surgery - where is my hair?
Hi you all! I am almost 18 months out and have been at goal for almost 8 months. I lost a boat load of hair starting at 3 months (thankfully had a lot going into surgery) While I have some regrowth, it's not much I'm still missing at least 1/3 of my hair! Is this the best I can hope for or will it just come in time do think?
It's nice that it dries quickly now, it used to take forever, but a happy medium would be nice.
Doing well, but have had too much sugar the last few weeks so I'm going to eat healthier again. It's a slipperyy slope!

No, I think most just get better settled in a routine and get busy.
I still lurk and check in to see how everyone is doing.

Doing well here- love being able to be outside doing yard work and gardening and walking. I missed my walks- happy to be doing them again. Clears my head and gives me some much needed solitude!
Things are slowing, but still losing great here.

Thanks for the quote. I spend most of my time on the pregnancy board since hubby and I are trying to have another child. Our son is 61/2 and we finally decided to try to give him a sibling.
I'll try to rememer to check in on this board more often now that I have had a reminder.
Thanks Darla.
