Hope to catch you at coffee soon.

Hello,
I'm out here and like the weekly weigh in- I can start the thread too.
I really wish I could chug a bottle of ice cold water, but other than that I have no complaints- love my sleeve! By next week I'm hoping to be down 60 lbs since Mother's Day. I feel (and look) smaller and have way more energy even though I still have a long road ahead. Woot!
Also, been super busy lately and missing my coffee group time, but hoping to catch you all soon!
Starting/Highest Weight: 313
Day of Surgery: 300
Last Week: 259.4
Today: 254.6

Topic: I'm going to Maple Grove coffee on Saturday
I love all the South groups but considering I'm broke and gas prices are high... I can't make it out there every time.
I miss my Maple Grove group so much...
Come on peeps... let's let bygones be bygones... and unite as WLS peeps who all really need support. Trust me... whether you're doing great or not... we all need the support.
SO... this Saturday at about 8:30-9ish... I will be at the Maple Grove Byerly's Caribou sitting area inside.
Address: 12880 Elm Creek Boulevard Maple Grove, MN 55369
I will see you all there! And if not... I guess I'll sit a bit and enjoy reading a book.

Topic: Weigh-In, a day late--anybody out there?
Hi All: Do you still want this accountability thread? Seems like I'm the only one starting it lately, which I don't mind, but if nobody needs it, that's okay too.
I'm a day late because I just got back from vacation, where I was a naughty girl--I ate donuts, chocolate-covered pecans, caramel corn, prime-rib, even cookies! Fortunately, I also included some pretty strenuous hikes and some running, so I managed to keep things under control--just a little up from last week.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 144.2
This week: 144.8
This week: Gain of 0.6 lbs.
I hiked up Eagle Mountain, the tallest point in Minnesota--it was definitely a challenge, but the exciting thing for me was that I was able to do it, and with energy!! It was 7 miles, 3 1/2 hours round trip, climbing rocks, tree roots, even creek beds (that were not altogether dry, LOL). Sparkpeople says that hike burned over 1500 calories and I believe it!! I was sore for two days afterward, but a year ago, it would have been impossible.
I also climbed Lookout Mountain on Sunday evening--that's 3 miles, and a bit easier trail, but it still took 1 1/2 hours. I highly recommend the North Shore for vacation if you want to get exercise, hah!

Topic: RE: anyone had RNY revision to DS w/ Dr. Ikramuddin
I don't know a thing about revisions, but I do know a bit about Dr. Ik. In fact, I just had a follow-up appointment with him yesterday. He won't bull s#$t you about anything. He'll work with you but won't give false hope. I feel he's a skilled surgeon and one of the best around. But that's maybe just because I've had such good luck with him. He and his office staff are great.
I agree, check out both Dr. Ik and Dr. Buchannan. If I was going to have a revision, they'er who I'd go to.

I forgot about Unique! Back behind Buca across the street from Burnsville Ctr on the west side.
Topic: RE: Anyone in my area
Thank you...I don't see myself getting to Fargo during the week in the evenings...I was hoping I could find more people a little closer to home than Fargo.
Topic: RE: Anyone in my area
Actually we normally meet in the evenings. It is just a small group of us that meet for coffee normally and it is based around our schedules. We normally post on the north dakota board, so watch that for when we meet. This summer hasn't been good for meeting, but hopefully in the fall we will start again.
