I weighed myself this morning.  As some of you know I refuse to be a slave to the numbers.  I made this my habit even before my surgery.  I know the goal number but I also know that if I dont lose another ounce EVER...Im happy and feel successful!  The numbers dont dictate how I feel about my body.  So, with that said...

I have officially lost 100lbs!  I am also out of plus size jeans and shirts.  Im wearing a 14 jeans and a 12 shirt!  I forgot how much fun clothes shopping can be!

That being said, I encourage everyone on this journey to remember that YOU make your journey successful...NOT the numbers!

Topic: Looking for large man's suit
It's been a long time since I've been on here, but I'm in need of something for my brother and this is the perfect place to ask.  My brother has been unemployed for over 2 years and has finally found a job driving a limo, but has no clothes to wear. He's looking for a black suit approximately 54 inch waist - long (he's tall - about 6' 3") and a 4x jacket. a 3x could work but would be tight, or bigger could work as he has a friend who could tailor the items for it.

So if you're a guy who's shrunk out of his big clothes and would be willing to help out my brother, please contact me.

Thanks much!

Hit my one month "surgiversary" on Saturday.

Starting weight:  303
Last week:  277
This week: 272.5
This week:  Loss 4.5 pounds
Total Loss:  30.5 pounds

I'm all over the map with emotions.  One day I'm ecstatic that I have lost 30 pounds in a month.  The next day I'm crushed that I've only lost 30 pounds in a month.  I'll blame it on the weight loss hormones.

OK, well I weighed myself this morning but I already can't remember what the scale said and I didn't write it down... busy first day back to work.  :)  It may have been 240.6, but I'll go with the higher one- it's still a loss so I really don't care either way, lol.

Everyone was noticing my weight loss today.  It was nice but uncomfortable too.  I didn't tell my colleagues I had WLS, so I kept vaguely talking about eating small amounts of high protein foods throughout the day and walking more, which is technically true...

Starting/Highest Weight: 313
Day of Surgery: 300
Last Week: 243.8
Today: 241.8

We had a great time at the fair- besides it being waaay overcrowded.  I walked around all day with ease and pretty much stuck to my plan.  I went for the afternoon/evening, so had lunch at home, then milk at the fair, as well as part of a roasted corn (my FAVE) and had some shish kabob meat for supper.  I had a bite or two of other people's stuff, but really, I guess I really didn't eat all that much.  On the way home I had a baby bell cheese I'd thrown in my bag.  Partly I wasn't with big eaters and partly everything costs so dang much, so I guess I came out of it all right.  :)

I saw plenty of good looking choices too- pulled pork, jerk chicken, fruit kabobs, and on and on.  Also, they had sugar free lemonade at the gator shack.

There was 8 of us from my family that went on Saturday.  (Don't ever go on a Saturday. Way too busy)  Anyway, I ate 1/2 a gyro, a few cheese curds, a few sweet potatoe fries, a few choc chips cookies, lots of milk and a few bites of cheesecake on a stick. (To die for)  All in all did a lot better than I normally do.  I gained only .6  Pretty happy with that.  Already lost a little of that.  Of course did a lot of walking.  Totally worth the gain.  Ya gotta live!

I haven't gone yet this year, but I remember having grilled shrimp from somewhere last year.  It was lovely.  I also had a slice of pizza--not too good, but that's about all I ate.

I do want some cheese curds this year, but otherwise I am pretty able to resist.  I am very happy that I will be able to walk comfortably for the entire day!  What a difference.

Welcome back, Lori!  I am more recent than you, but glad to "meet" you.  We are all on the same lifelong journey, after all.

Well, I gained back what I lost last week.  Not a big deal--seems like I am just bouncing around a bit, and that's okay.

Really sore knees today--I might be having some ITB issues in my left leg.  Time to ice and stretch.

Starting weight:  298.4
Last week:  137.3
This week: 138.4
This week:  Gain of 1.1 lbs
