I know all of our experience are different, but I have been near the same weight for the last 3 weeks.  Is this something that others have experienced?  My intake hasn't changed still focused on protein and no carbs or sugar with lots of sf liquids.  I am down 200 (about 60% of excess)  at 7 months post op and still grateful for every opportunity this weight loss has given me.  I know it hasn't ended, but if it did it was worth it.

Have a great holiday weekend!!!!

Thanks!  I feel awesome these days.  I just got some new clothes in the MISSES dept!  I saw some cute shirts but then realized they were all plus size and even the smallest one would hang off me like a tent!

Im off for the weekend tomorrow to go to a family reunion in Chicago with hubbys family...they havent seen me since before the surgery!  That will be FUN

yea that estrogen is no friend of mine I tell ya. I am stabalizing now mentally which is good im just having a hard time with the fluids, I can only get about 48oz in a day and im supposed to be at 64?? I dont know how im supposed to do that. I also realized that I have to get my 20 grams of protein in per day or I am so tired I just want to sleep. I am loosing a pound a day so I cant complain there, but I really was an emotional wreck because I wanted to take the surgery back so bad I was so upset. But thats past now for the most part and now im just having the struggle of finding the right routine.

Oops.  I misread.  You said B vitamins.  Not sure if we were on the same page there.

I have not had iron issues but my B12 was down to 432...not good.  I started taking B12 sublinguals (1 - 2500 mcg per day).  I got them from Walmart and within 1 1/2 weeks my B12 shot up to 1570.  I have been trying to find information about B12 and from what I can tell, it has been questioned as to whether shots are any better than sublinguals.  Other than the fact that they are more expensive.  I guess it can't hurt to try the sublinguals?  Good luck.  I hope maybe you can find a more understanding doc.  :)

I subscribe to Dr. Arya Scharma's newsletter. He's a Canadian doctor with a special interest in obesity. I'm sharing a link to a multi-part series on why he supports bariatric surgery and why it can fail.

I totally appreciate your refusing to be a slave to numbers - too many people get so hung up on reaching A NUMBER on a scale, that they fail to appreciate all the pounds they've LOST!

However, 100 pounds down is a BIG HAIRY DEAL!!!   So WOO HOO!!!  Congratulations!!!

Another little factoid that I don't believe anyone has brought up for a while (not that it would matter, since you're new here!    )  -

Estrogen, that lovely female hormone that causes us so many other monthly issues, is stored in fat.  As your body starts to lose fat, you get something of an estrogen rush into your system - which makes for some extreme emotions.  Bundle that with the natural tendency to ask 'WHAT HAVE I DONE???', and most people ARE rather messed up for a while!

Just keep following your doctor's orders, and you'll soon see the pounds melting off.  And THAT, my friend, is bound to make you HAPPY!!!
