Topic: RE: I'm up 4 lbs and scared to death!
Thanks Renae for the encouragement. Been back to basics for 2 days now. Lost 1.6 so far. Wanna keep it going and get to my goal of 150. I actually had a dream with you in it last night. You looked wonderful! I enjoy reading all your posts and it makes a different on my outlook. Thanks!! One of these Saturdays I'll try to make it to a coffee. It's been way too long.

I'd love to go, but it's not in the budget this year. Have fun!
Topic: Saturday 9/3 Coffee--who's going?
Coffee at Caribou in Eagan tomorrow morning at 8:30. Who will be there? I know it's a holiday weekend and all, but I'm planning on it. I may even ride my bike to the meeting--you are all used to me being sweaty, I know.

Hang in there, it will get better. Hormones are a factor, lack of protein, etc. You are also grieving for the loss of your friend food. I know that I was.
The grief will abate, but the struggle is eternal, I think. If we didn't have a problem with food, we wouldn't be obese. Surgery is on the stomach, not the head.
However, I am so glad I had my surgery--I am just over a year out, and it is the best thing I ever did for myself. Still, I focus on it everyday--food is still my friend, but I'm finding that exercise can be my friend, too. The more friendly I am with exercise, the more friendly I can be with food, LOL.
Please join us for South of the River Coffee, every Saturday morning at 8:30. Tomorrow it is at the Caribou Coffee in Byerly's on Yankee Doodle Road. Not sure who is going to be there, with the holiday weekend, but I am planning on it.

Good for you in attacking the problem right away--4 lbs is not a big problem in the scheme of things. It's just easy to let it go further, and you are not. I'm proud of you!!

I'm getting on it immediately. Only eating protein today and lots of water.

This is how my whole journey has been...drop 10 pounds...stall for a few weeks..Drop 14 pounds over two weeks and nothing for 4 weeks! It's never been a slow, fluid progression.
It horrified me at first, but patience was key, and the scale never went up. I just kept following the program and it continues that way to this day. I'm happy to report I'm back in a losing phase again!!
It's coming slower now because I'm nearing goal, but so far so good!!
It sounds like your sucess is stellar, so congrats!!
