You'll get there, Julie!  Everybody is on their own timetable.  Hang in there, and just keep on going...it's frustrating, but you know what they say--if you lose it slower, you're more likely to keep it off.

If you ever want to get together to go walking or anything, let me know.  I'd love to!

Crap!  You guys, I'm still in the double digit sizes.  Don't know why I can't lose.  Only lost 66 stinking lbs in 14 months.  Never going to make it.

So great, Kim!  You look fabulous.  Your hair will grow back--it's a temporary inconvenience that comes with the territory, but a small price to pay.  :-)

Way to go, MM!  You have done so fantastically well--you are an inspiration!

Size 2, and it zipped--woot!  Best I have done is a size 6, but believe me, I am very happy with that.  I never in my life thought I could wear a size 6.

This surgery has been such a blessing!

Good Day, Good People!

Every Monday  I swear I am going to weigh and log in with you all. Well, today is the 2nd time I have accomplished this goal!

Starting/Highest Weight: 294
Last Week: 134.0
Today: 131.6 (actually yesterday)
Loss: 2.4

Couldn't tell you why I lost so much. But I am just pretty much staying around 130. You know, when my surgeon set that goal for me, I thought he was nuts! I am still walking around in shock. These last 20 pounds have really surprised me. I actually zipped up a size 2 pant. Wasn't pretty at the top, but you all know my theory: If it zips, it fits!

I missed you all at coffee on Saturday. I am bringing clothes to BVL this week, so clear out some car space!

Thanks for always being here for me and showing me the ropes,

MM

Congrats on the 10K- WOW!  I need to step up the exercise.  I know it'll get me through the harder pounds at the end and through maintanance...  So far, barely being able to eat is good enough for nice losses, but I know those days are numbered.

Today is 4 months since surgery for me.  And aside from losing hair by the handfulls right now, I couldn't be more  pleased with my results so far:

I am down 82.2 since I started my 10 day liquid diet- that was also my all time high weight.  And 69.2 pounds since surgery May 19.  It's nothing short of  a miracle!

As for this week:

Starting/Highest Weight: 313
Day of Surgery: 300
Last Week: 233.6
Today: 230.8

Good morning, everyone!  For those of you who are new to the Minnesota board--seems like we've been getting a lot of newbies lately, YAY!  Welcome.  Some of us choose to report in each Monday morning, to give us accountability for our progress.  You are welcome to report in about how your week went, you can post your weight loss or not, it's up to you.

Starting weight:  298.4
Last week:  137.5
This week: 137.3
This week:  Loss of 0.2 lbs

I'm hanging in there at maintenance, happy with where I am at.

My big news this week was that I ran in my first 10K race on Saturday!  It went well, but I started off too fast and the 5th mile was a killer.  I just kept on running and managed to finish in under 65 minutes! WOOT!

Before my surgery 14 months ago, I would never have believed that I would be running for 6.2 miles straight.  A whole new world has opened up for me, and it is awesome!  Have a great week, all!

I had my sleeve on 4/18 and I too went through many if not all of the same emotions and feelings, as well as struggles.    Just do the best you can with your fluids and protein, it DOES GET BETTER.   I too enjoy the Saturday coffee group.   I know from the boards there is also one in Maplewood starting so that would be closer for you too.
