I had my RNY @ abbot too.  Everybody in the clinic is great.  If you have any questions ask away there's lots of great WLS info to be had on here from everyones experiences.

Hello all-

Newbie here!  I have spent the last few months jumping through all of the requisite hoops and now I am just waiting to schedule my surgery.  Plan on a RNY with Dr. Chute at ANW.  Aiming for first week in November.  It is getting so close!

Will probably have lots of questions in the future, but for now, just wanted to say hi.  I am really glad I found this forum.  Would be great to know other in the Twin Cities who have been (or will be going) through this.

Thanks for the invite, Heidi - but I've been pretty loyal to MG for nearly 5 years.  Living in Hanover, it's way closer than CR  :)

I did haul my butt down to B'ville once, but it was a full hour one way.  I'm just not that into long distance driving for a    !!

I'd love to meet up with you sometime, but I'm attending the Fall WLS Day of Education and Gala tomorrow. I usually attend a support group in Coon Rapids at the Barnes and Noble (all surgery types) next to Northtown on Saturday mornings. We meet up at 10:30am. You are always welcome to join us there as well! I haven't been very good about getting there as much lately, but with Summer...our weekends were always packed!
Hopefully we can catch up some time! =)

 It is hard to be hot if you don't stoke the furnace, I think that speaks to the fact that calories are fuel. I have had some weight regain and I am not "as" cold as I was last year, but it I totally love warmer weather now.
