Topic: An update on me
Hey Everyone,
I know I have been MIA from this site for a long time and I thought I would take a moment to update you on how things have been going with me.
Life has been busy to say the least right now and I am concentrating on all of the things that I have going on while doing my best to take care of myself. I'm working full time, my daughter has started school. Along with the new school activities we have swimming lessons and I'm volunteering time to help out in her classroom and with other activities throughout the school.
However, with all of that going on I've been maintaining at around 160-165lbs for the last 4 months so I'm pretty satisfied...it's a hell of a lot better than the 312lbs I was at Oct 20, 2009...that's right; yesterday was my 2 year surgiversary.
I can't believe 2 years have come and gone and the difference in the quality of my life. I know that with how busy things have been, I've really pulled into myself and haven't really put myself out there all that much with OH, FB or other support groups such as coffee. I'm going to make an effort to do that because I've been getting frustrated with not having time to do things for myself and I really need to start doing that so I can be happy and satisfied with things that are going on. I'm getting burnt out giving all of my time to others and not having anything to give back to myself.
Well, work needs to be done so I guess I better get going...hope to see/chat with some of you soon!

It's in one of the strip malls just off of CR42, east of Portland Avenue. It's in the same strip mall as Davanni's.

Where is it located in Burnsville? I have been consigning and buying at Turn Style in Lakeville/Apple Valley. Brought in a ton of stuff earlier this week - and found out I had over $100 credit on my account!!! whoot - bought some jackets (medium and 8"s) and a pair of size 6 Banana Republic pants. They still had tags on them!
I love consignment shops - sure makes the $$$ go farther!

Dr. Ikramuddin did my sleeve. I had a great experience with him and his staff. He practices at both Abbott and the U. I used Abbott and, again, had a great experience there.
I'm a lightweight and had no problem losing all I wanted in less than 6 months. Some say lightweights lose slower. That wasn't my experince. I'm maintaining easliy and every now and then I drop another pound. I'm currently 8 pounds below my target.
In my personal, non-medical opinion - and I don't know anything! - I think VSG will soon become the gold standard of WLS. I'd have it again in a New York second. If you'd like to ask any questions I'd be happy to help you out.

Nice job! Glad to hear about someone with long-term success. I am 15 months out, at goal and hovering around 140 at 5'7". I'm very happy where I am at, and determined to stay here, so it's good to hear from someone who has done it.
Topic: RE: Where are our Monday weighers?
Congrats on your losses, ladies! Nice job.
I'll keep posting the thread as long as there's interest (and maybe even beyond that--I find it helpful for myself. )
So this morning I headed out for my run without checking my mapped routes. I was relying on my memory--big mistake. When I got home I was really tired. After mapping the route, I realized that I ran 5 3/4 miles this morning. Good exercise, but I think I really need that GPS watch I've been eyeing. (Or maybe a memory transplant, LOL.)
Have a great rest-of-the-week! Who will be at coffee on Saturday? I think I can make it this week.

You can do it, Julie! Look how far you've come. Sometimes I think we forget to celebrate the successes, seeing only the journey yet to go. But you should be proud of what you've accomplished.
