Ok, so here it goes. I am starting out on my journey for weight loss surgery. I have found a clinic, and had my first 2 appointments. I have yet to meet my surgeon as I a told that happens after I lose half of the 20 pounds. At my last appointment I was down 6 pounds, which is exciting, but I am very nervous about having this done. I am also excited about the possiblities this new tool will give me. Any tips for the new guy on how to control the snacking urges?

Topic: xpost- Made it to minus 100!
Well, I've made it to the century club as of this week. I started this journey weighing in at 313 pounds, and between my 10 days of preop liquids and getting my sleeve, I am down 100 pounds. Simply amazing!!! Next stop, onederland!
Pros- nearly everything. I feel smaller, healthier, more energetic, more in control. I am just more comfortable in my own skin, less self conscious.
Cons- yes, I have excess skin and my hair is falling out, but I knew that going in and it far from negates all the positives I've experienced so far.
I also had a couple NSVs this weekend while out shopping. I was able to wear tall boots (yes, they were wide calf, but I couldn't even wear those before) and they looked cute, and I am down to a 16-18 from a 26-28 last May. Woot!

Topic: RE: New Here/Park Nicollet ??
Yesterday at my bariatric follow up appt at Park Nicollet, my doc suggested that I join a group online of support for patients at Park Nicollet on ObesityHelp.com. I can't find one. Does anyone know if there is such a thing and point me in the right direction? Thanks!
