Hello all:

This is our regular Monday morning call to accountability:  anyone who would like to can participate.  You can post and track your weight with us every Monday, whether you are pre-surgery, post-surgery, in maintenance, trying to get back on track, whatever your stage.  We need to be accountable to ourselves for what we did last week, and what we plan to do this week.  Sometimes being honest with ourselves requires sharing publicly with others .

Anyway, I'll keep posting the thread if people want to play.  It helps me, so I hope it helps others.
Starting weight:  298.4
Last week: 139.8
This week: 140.8
Gain of 1.0 lbs this week

I was quite a bit higher mid-week, but back down a bit again.  Snacking at night is a tough challenge  for me, and I had some external "hits" to the mood this week that made me want to turn to food for comfort.  It's so easy to return to those bad habits.  My strategy since surgery has been to substitute exercise for food, and it sometimes works.

Paul:  running mileage is down again this week--the cycling and swimming is taking up more of my time.  12.6 miles running, plus 24.4 miles on the bike.  Now that you are back, we need to plan a group bike ride!

Gotta keep pushing on the exercise this week, and try to nip the late-night snacking in the bud.

Enjoy, everyone!

I forgot to weigh this morning, but I am probably up because exercise was down last week and had the family reunion.

I was a bit upset yesterday. I rode my bike to church and back and that was good, but I had to walk it up two hills which means my three weeks off really cost me. I was passed  twice by an elderly jogger. The person gained almost a tenth of a mile on me before I could get back on the bike and catch her. I thanked her for the motivation lesson and found a long flat run so I wouldn't be embarassed again.

It really doesn't take long to lose it, does it?  Although you'll get it back in no time with a few rides.  Three weeks isn't too long!

I've gotten passed in races by people decades older than me.  Really lets you know that there is more you can do, LOL.  It's good to have goals...

My next goal is to have a no rain saturday, so I can do a planned ride. We'll see how that works!

I'd been maintaining, but am officially up a bit now to a place I'm not comfortable with.  I'm going to try to be better about tracking on myfitnesspal and sticking to my c25k workouts this week.  Grazing is my number one problem and being home for the summer now is NOT helping...

I was at 157.5 last week, today I am up 1lb - 158.5.

I am struggling. I get down to 156, then bounce back up to 159. I don't expect to be 130 again, like I was a year after surgery, but I sure would LOVE to be 145 again. I was happiest at that weight and my clothes fit the best then. I've been struggling to lose these 10lbs for over a year now.

I went for a walk/jog this morning and I had eaten the last of my junk food last night, so hopefully today I will do better as I detox from sugar AGAIN...I dump on rice and bread and potatoes...Oh how I wish I dumped on chocolate!!!!
