Sent in my forms to Park Nicollet
I attended the required seminar last week at Park Nicollet. Last night I mailed out all of my forms and my two year health history. I am SO scared they are going to call and say I am not a candidate for surgery.
I hope I hear back from them this week to set up my nurse, bariatric, psych and dietician appointments.
Anyone else go through Park Nicollet?

Hi attended the meeting last week as well and I dropped my forms off last friday and I have my first three hour appointment tomorrow! I am fasting tonight for labs at 8:30am then three docs, nurse, bariatrician, and shrink. My goal is to decide which surgery and have it before Sept 1, 2012!
Best thing you can do right now is THINK POSITIVE! If you have decided that this is the right plan of action for you, then you should also decide that you are going to make it happen!
Park Nicollet has, IMHO, a great program - they walk you through all the necessary pre-op requirements (theirs AND your insurance plan). If you are a good candidate and there is any way they can help you get WLS, they will. You are in good hands. I'm over 5 years post op, maintaining, and happy as heck with what WLS has done for me physically and medically. No more diabetes. No more back pain, no more foot pain, very little knee pain (old injury - lots better than it was, but will never go away without a surgical fix.). I can buy clothes pretty much anywhere I want, and I am no longer paranoid in front of people. Men - older AND younger - have actually hit on me! (What a strange thing!?!)
Just get your head on solid, and dedicate yourself to the changes you will need to make in your relationship with food. It's quite a ride!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Hi, I went through this process there and was completely disatisfied with the customer service and lack there of. I don't want to get in to too many details but just want to make sure that you research the program well before going forward. There are other wonderful programs out there and i am going forward with surgery at another local program here in the Twin Cities. Best of luck to you and i would also be willing to speak with you off-line too about my experience. Truly it is what you make of it. Good Luck! Susie
