Good morning everyone!  I hope everyone had a good week.

My weight is up again--I have this 2-3 lbs that comes and goes as it pleases.  This week it came home.    But I have only myself to blame--two parties this weekend, and I ate!  It didn't help that the one party was on the day I ran 9+ miles--I am always ravenous after a long run.

Anyway, weight at 142 this morning.  Last week was 138.4, so a gain of 3.6 lbs.  Oops.

Paul:  total run mileage this week was 24.7 miles.  You got a bit of a break this week.  Add in the elliptical for another 7.2 miles.  Less than 2 weeks now to my first half-marathon--getting excited and nervous.

Don't forget about our 5K race this coming Saturday.  Even if you aren't running or walking with our "Formerly Fat Friends" team, you can come and cheer us on.  Como Lake, Saturday morning starting at 8:30am.  Be there!

Morning Renee, As a response to the Boston Marathon, Oh no I 'oudn't (british accent.)

I put out the efforts this week, but could have added two days worth if I was honest, and may have to if I want to break this cycle. I am almost back up to last weeks weight at 259.

I did 34 miles on the bike and 9 miles on the treadmill. Would it help if I converted this to kilometers? they have such higher numbers......

This stuff does take time, glad I have some. I have been chatting with a friend that gave up five years ago. He can barely make it to the fridge with a walker. He is "only" 60.

I may be late to the party, but I think continued movement and exercise is the key to a quality later life.

Ooh, I gots me some catching up to do!  You did 43 miles last week--that kicks my butt!

I hate the wind, so I'm going to hit the treadmill tonight, I think.  Wish the weather would keep a little more consistent.

I agree with you about movement being the key--before my surgery, I imagined myself being the woman in the nursing home that nobody wanted to help because I was too fat to move.  What a nightmare!!  We're going to avoid that, right?!

I getting to be a real wuss. I went out the garge for two minutes and then retreated to the house. I know I warm up when exercising, but I think I would rather warm up on the treadmill too. I am going to try ang get at least three 5k's in this week. It is a longer time than I had been doing in past weeks.
Looking forward to the Saturday challenge.
