Comin Back to be accountable
This is my first time back in a very long time. I am almost 4 years out. A few pounds up from my lowest, ok alot. I have been home the last 6 weeks after having neck surgery and need to get off this couch. Debating on going back to basics, weigh****chers or what to do. My surgeon was Dr. Glass in St. Cloud which is no longer in the state. So, I am looking for a support group to attend.
I see a few familiar faces but lots of new ones. Here is to the future!

Hey sweet thang :)
Glad to see you back, most of the 'old timers' are nowhere to be found. I lurk more than anything, but come in here almost daily.
It is harder the farther out a person gets, but I really do find that when I make a decided effort, I can still shave off the pounds. (I can put them back on again, too, but I digress...) I've never been really big on exercise with my crap knee, but just the food choices, portions and following the chewing/drinking rules can make a HUGE difference!
You & the hubs should really come camping with us this summer, it's been too long ~ or at LEAST call me when you're heading to Albertville!
Love ya, welcome back

Welcome back Anita!!!
I gained about 30 pounds since my lowest weight. Since I moved back to MN I have gone back to "basics". The first week was tough but now it is like normal again. I have lost 13 pounds and want to lose more. It is taking longer to lose this time of course but I am feeling better all ready!!
I wish you the best in which ever direction you chose to go.
I too would love to see you again!!!

Anita.....good for you contacting Kristin!!! Where is she now?
Tell her hello from me!!!
I am now down 17 pounds since Jan 21st and am feeling good. Going back to basic's is a great way to go!! I have a bite or two of something every now and then. I have learned that is plenty.
Good Luck....you can do it!

Hi Anita: I don't think we've met, but welcome back!
I'm assuming you live north of the Cities, but you are welcome to make the trek to our Saturday morning support group. I'd love to meet you.
Some of us post weigh-in on Monday morning to help stay accountable. It helps me to have a place to report how I did and discuss challenges or victories each week. Feel free to join that thread-- no pressure to post your actual weight if you don't want to, altho of course this group does not judge. We commiserate, cheer, support and encourage!
Don't know if you can walk for exercise after your neck surgery, but we have a group that is walking or running in the Challenge Obesity 5K around Como Lake April 21st. You'd be welcome to join in that as well--we have a team going called the "Formerly Fat Friends." It should be a lovely spring morning outing with friends!!

Hi! I am also back from being gone for a while and its so nice to see familiar faces (Connie and Darla) just in my first post! I was always more of a lurker but hoping I can figure out how to navigate these boards and make the most of it. I had my surgery in 2004 with Dr Jones and have maintained very well until now. That's why I'm here-to share and see what others are doing fto get back on track. And to just catch up, too!

Wow...I JUST came back today after a very, very long time away too! I will be 4yrs. out next week and gained back 30#'s...very shamefully. Just purely stupid, lazy decisions.
I am happy to see some familiar faces still here (I was more of a lurker as well)...Kelly, Connie, Darla.
Anita, I feel your "pain" and I hope for both our sakes we can figure out a way to get back on track b/c I never ever thought I'd regain THIS much. I expected a little fluxuation after hittiny my lowest but 30#'s?!? Ugh!
I need a swift kick in the rear
