Dr. Michael Schwartz patients

Hi guys, is anyone on here a current or former patient of Dr. Schwartz? What are your thoughts on him if you are? Thanks!

  I was not a patient of his, but I did have surgery from his partner. Their team is wonderful. You can chose St Joseph hospital in St Paul or Abbott in Minneapolis. Dr Swartz had the surgery so he is so aware of your needs and feelings. I met him at a pre-surgery info session.
  Pre and after care is a bit different depending on the hospital/team. I went to Abbott and they took great care of me. I prefer the St Joseph support meetings, but you can attend those no matter where you have the surgery. I attend both of them at various times.
   I opinion that you would be happy with Dr Swartz. 

I went to Dr Schwartz after a friend had rny with him 18 months earlier.  My friend is down 330+ and I am down 240 after 11 months after lap rny.   I have had a great experience and have had no side effects.  The entire staff at abbot was GREAT!  If you have any other questions shoot me a messege.  No matter who you choose it's just a tool and only you can make it work.

I didn't have Dr. Schwartz either, I had his partner Dr. Chute.  They do a great job at Abbott, and I highly recommend that practice.  I reached goal--loss of 160 lbs--in 9 months with no complications.

Keep in mind, as someone else said, it's a tool for you.  They provide lots of support, but you have to embrace it and work the tool.  No matter where you go, your result is mostly up to you!

Thanks for the respones!! I truly appreciate it! I am almost done with my 6 months, and hope to have surgery in March. I feel good about my choice in doctor and practice. I just wanted some feedback from someone who actually used the practice. So far so good. I love the people at the clinic and I am amazed by Dr. Schwartz. I hope to someday be as sucessful as you guys!!

I had my RNY by Dr Schwartz 3 years ago. I would recommend him and the clinic for sure.
