Hi All:

It's weigh-in day again.  I find this routine very comforting.  It is important to me, even at goal, to be accountable somewhere for staying on track.  I'm somewhat nervous about winter, when it will be harder to get outside and exercise.  I think I need to adopt a winter sport.

Starting weight:  298.4
Last week:  137.7
This week: 137.5
This week:  Loss of 0.2 lbs

I ran 5 miles yesterday morning with my daughter and a friend.  It was a wonderful morning, and I really enjoy running with my DD.  Our friend was behind us at one point, laughing because we have the same butt and the same running stride and we were running in complete tandem.  I'm glad I wasn'****ching, LOL.

But I love sharing times like that with my DD, and I'm grateful to have them.  Two years ago, if you had said I could run with her and keep up, (even beat her powering up hills), I would have laughed (along with being silently embarrassed and ashamed).  No need for any of that anymore!!

Yep it is wonderful, isn't it? I am down two pounds from August 23, maybe not a record, but it is in the correct direction. I have stopped the weight regain of the past 6 months and feel that I have learned about choices, and that I like that I can make them positively.
I do have a treadmill for winter, but i think a exercise routine should be fun so it entices you to do it on a real regular basis. let us know what you find

Finally home after what seems like 5 weeks of running.   I had my first big stall (almost 4 weeks)and 5 pound regain end a week and a half ago.  I continued to follow my diet and exercise even though my weight wasn't changing.  When I jumped on the scale today i was down 14 pounds from 2 Sundays ago to 334.  Yes I think it's easy to doubt your tool, but it's pretty damn AWESOME to have this life changing event.  Sure is nice to get "noticed" when your out and about instead of the constant scrutiny of others.

Have a great week everyone!

A good week here.  Though the scale was kind, I have learned that I cannot have nutella in the house...

SO close to minus 80.  :)

Great job Kim.  I agree . Nutella is soooo good.  I'm that way with Peanut butter.  Too many people in my family like it and it is protein so it is here to stay.  I try to limit myself to 1 tbls a day.

I have been so busy that i'm just now checking in.  Ooops!

Weight is same as last week so no change.  I had a checkup with my PCP on Tuesday who hasn't seen me since my pre-op for surgery last December.  Two things-1st...It's awesome that this is the first time i've had to see him in 10 months!  He knows me quite well because I used to have to see him practically every month for years and years with all my issues.  2nd...He walks in and the first thing he says is "Wow!  Your half the person you used to be.  You look great!"  I'm so fortunate to have a doctor who is very supportive in my decision to have this surgery.  I love my tool !

I'm just checking in finally, too.  I'm too sleepy to double check my stats from last week but finally broke my mini-stall and am now down 36 pounds in 7 weeks.  I'm starting to struggle a little with my boring diet and have eaten a few things I shouldn't have.  Apparently 2 oreos won't make me dump.

But all in all, I'm happy with a 36 pound loss.  I'm hoping to get my head back on right and start expanding my food selections so I have more willpower to say no to the oreos.
