LOL & other random stuff
Okay, I just felt like laughing Forgive me?
We're going to the State Fair on Saturday - I really don't feel the need to go this year, but my hubby wants to go, so Saturday is our only opportunity. I plan on having a pork chop, some cheese curds, maybe try a little of the infamous sweet corn ice cream I've heard about. Other than that, it'll be DRINK DRINK DRINK! (although it sounds like it'll only be in the 70's Saturday - HEAVENLY!!)
My husband, after nearly 2.5 years of being unemployed/self employed, started a new job a few weeks ago (THANK YOU, GOD!!! ). He had to take a bit of a pay cut, but steady income is better than uncertain income, ya know? Anyway, I took a hobby job to help supplement our finances, at a grocery store close to home. Starting as a cashier, but they plan to move me to the Service Counter before long. I love it! Not sure why, but so far - I do! I'm on my feet between 5-8 hours at a time, which is a HUGE contrast from my regular job, but ya know what? It hasn't been a problem! 160 pounds ago, I'd have never even applied for fear my knees and I wouldn' t be able to take that - not to mention the likelihood that I wouldn't have fit in the little cubby behind the register...
So I'm uber busy these days, lovin' it, and planning to stash part of the hobby job $ in my vacation account - 'cuz I'm heading back to ***** Cana next March with my daughter and a dear friend! YEE! FREAKIN'! HAW!!!!!
It's GOOD to have something to look forward to!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Hey Darla! I'm glad to hear that things are going well and you like your hobby job. I know what it's like to be busy with the two jobs. Like you, I love my second job at the bingo hall. It's so different from my regular one, Stop Loss Insurance underwriting. In a way, it's kind of like my alone time, but I get paid for it. Woo Hoo!
I'm super jealous!! I know your going to have a great time on your vacation!! Can't wait to hear about it!
Hopefully we'll be able to meet up for coffee before hand.
