Getting back on track...

Hi everyone... It's been awhile since I've posted but I'm looking for some help in getting back on track with my weight loss... I had my surgery about 4 1/2 years ago and lost 140 pounds. I started out at over 350 pounds so still had a ways to go but felt great after losing that much weight... Some things happened in my life and I ended up gaining back 40 pounds of the weight I had lost. I am now struggling to get that 40 pounds off, plus at least 40 more... I'm not looking for answers... I know what I need to do to... I guess I'm just looking for support and accountability... I am going to be posting my Weight and Activity (and anything else I feel is relevant to helping me reach my weight loss goal) so I hope you don't get sick of hearing from me and if anyone else wants to join me that would be great... So, here are my "stats" for today...

Weight: 240
Activity: Wii Fit 20 minutes/Walk 20 minutes

Thanks for the support!

Great job with getting refocused on the battle we all fight everyday.  This website and some friends are the best things for helping me be accountable to myself.  Everyone thinks its such an easy addiction to beat, but I think it's as tough as any.

Good luck from Belle Plaine

Hi Michelle:  Good for you for refocusing your attention and getting back to it!  You will do well--your tool still works, just gotta get back to the basics!

We have a weigh-in thread for accountability that we post every Monday.  You are welcome to report weight and activity in that thread if you like--it's available for anyone that wants to keep track and get support from others working toward the same goals--as are we all.

Hang in there, Michelle and come back often.  Also, I don't know how far you are from the Twin Cities, but we have a great group that meets for coffee every Saturday morning.  If you can come, you are very welcome.  This Saturday it will be at 8:30am at the Panera Bread in Burnsville Center.

Hi Michelle
I'm in the same boat you are. I started out almost 4 years ago (Oct. 12) at 315 lbs. I'm 5'3" and got down to 140. I'm going through a wicked bad divorce and have gained 40 back. SCARY!!! I went from a size 4 and sadly gave in and have bought a couple of pairs of pants I"m back up to an 8. Enough's enough. It was too long a journey to let this happen. I'm on board with you! Good luck!

Hugs ~ Lisa
