Weigh-In, a day late--anybody out there?
Hi All: Do you still want this accountability thread? Seems like I'm the only one starting it lately, which I don't mind, but if nobody needs it, that's okay too.
I'm a day late because I just got back from vacation, where I was a naughty girl--I ate donuts, chocolate-covered pecans, caramel corn, prime-rib, even cookies! Fortunately, I also included some pretty strenuous hikes and some running, so I managed to keep things under control--just a little up from last week.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 144.2
This week: 144.8
This week: Gain of 0.6 lbs.
I hiked up Eagle Mountain, the tallest point in Minnesota--it was definitely a challenge, but the exciting thing for me was that I was able to do it, and with energy!! It was 7 miles, 3 1/2 hours round trip, climbing rocks, tree roots, even creek beds (that were not altogether dry, LOL). Sparkpeople says that hike burned over 1500 calories and I believe it!! I was sore for two days afterward, but a year ago, it would have been impossible.
I also climbed Lookout Mountain on Sunday evening--that's 3 miles, and a bit easier trail, but it still took 1 1/2 hours. I highly recommend the North Shore for vacation if you want to get exercise, hah!

Hello,
I'm out here and like the weekly weigh in- I can start the thread too.
I really wish I could chug a bottle of ice cold water, but other than that I have no complaints- love my sleeve! By next week I'm hoping to be down 60 lbs since Mother's Day. I feel (and look) smaller and have way more energy even though I still have a long road ahead. Woot!
Also, been super busy lately and missing my coffee group time, but hoping to catch you all soon!
Starting/Highest Weight: 313
Day of Surgery: 300
Last Week: 259.4
Today: 254.6

Hi Julie: I'm glad you check in and comment/encourage everyone. I think it helps keep your motivation going to stay in touch with everyone. Hope to see you at coffee again soon!
Is there anything we can do to help you out, or are you okay with where you are at? You have done really well--think about where you started and how far you have come. If there's anything we can offer, please say so, but I don't want to assume that you are unhappy with your progress. I think you've done great!
