DS'ers near Duluth?

Anyone? I just want a show of hands. I want a support group up here SO bad. There are some with Essentia Health but they don't do DS up here.

Add me on here and lets try to get a coffee or support group or something together!

Hi Leigh,  Been following your blog and your weight loss.  You look terrific.  Your right Essentia Health doesn't do DS but there are others of us out here that would like a support group that isn't associated with EH.  Are you interested in a support group that has other kinds of WLS?  Or  just the DS?  I think we all suffer the need of support in any shape or form.

Thanks! :) Yeah, it would be for everyone, but I would love to see other DSers in it. I just don't want to be the one in charge of planning everything. I want there to be an option out here to go to. I work crazy 12 hour shifts and don't have time to plan this kind of stuff.

 I too was looking for a specific support group for sleeve gastrectomies but didn't find one in the twin cities area.   So I decided to go to a coffee group that meets every Saturday morning rotating between 2 sites.  This has been most beneficial to me, and I did find some fellow 'sleevers' there.   The posting was ' support coffee group south of the river-twin cities '    Perhaps you could set on up there to meet and announce it on the forum.    We alternate between a Panera and a Caribou shops.   Just set a time and place and see what happens.   We meet everyweek, sometimes there are a bunch and sometimes just a few.  Couldn't hurt to try, we've all had WLS (weight loss surgery) of some kind or another.
